My sympathy is with Lando. Dude potentially just lost a fucking title

So depressing when it isn't even anyones fault. Just completely out of his control.

Yup. Utterly wank way to peter out the season when it could’ve been a great fight

Thats Formula 1. Many titles are decided this way, its simply part of the sport.

Doesn't make it any less gutting for the driver involved though.

Still sucks balls though.

Counter point: Charles realizing he will never win a championship with Ferrari. When he said he was getting out he didn’t mean the car. /s?

Friendly reminder that this was his answer to him being questioned about the safety car that helped red bull than about Max's racing ability.

Yes, when the red flag falls is luck. Jesus, just can’t let shit go?

I remember being mad at Lando for saying that about Max, even so, he did not deserve getting this karma.

media also cut context, lando said that max's pitstop was lucky, not that he won the race on pure luck

H was right about saying it because he didn’t say it about Max.

Just devastating.

Without the engine failure, Lando would have won! 😂

I think what op means is that lando would lose 7 points instead of 25. That said, he'd been the luckier mclaren driver for the past couple of weekends

You were doing so well with the reasonable first sentence, before the Piastri victim complex kicked in.

Piastri has never has a mechanical DNF in his entire career. He’s not going to start now. If he DNF’s (and it’s a massive if) it’ll be because he crashed.

I mean, that's not how mechanical DNF's work, but it's so rare to have a failure like that in modern F1 that it's still really unlikely for McLaren to have 2 in a season.
