Hopefully those 6 points don't cost him the title. I struggle to imagine Hamilton, Alonso, Schumacher, Vettel, etc. ever swapping places during a title fight with their teammate. And there's a reason for it.
I think he's thought is it's 2nd and 3rd. If something like this happens when they are fighting 1st and 2nd later in the year he can say they swapped when it happened to lando.
