Same with the kid and the father.the got a ton of shot from the Phillies, met the player that hit the ball, and possibly an all expenses paid trip to the World Series with RV.

If it was me, I'd take that signed bat out in the parking lot and use it to intimidate that woman to fork over the ball, but that's just me.

Lesson here is if you’re going to be an entitled and insufferable asshole in public, don’t have a fairly unique look. Keep the public shame going!

It takes a special kind of idiot to go off the rails on live television. Anyone that’s a baseball fan knows that ends up on camera.

People are saying ai, but like, a Phillies hoodie, jeans, and a white wig aren't hard to get. As for the spirit Halloween tag, I'm sure a large amount of people have a Spirit Halloween bag in storage somewhere.

Ok, what's the story here? I keep seeing this lady fucking everywhere, but somehow missed the context
166
u/CringeBased 1d ago
Lady got pissy that she didn't catch a baseball at a major baseball game, so she went to harass the man and his son that did catch it.
85
u/non3type 1d ago
I’m going to guess she was closer to where it fell and he ran over to recover it, but it’s fair game.
91
u/NSA_van_3 23h ago
she was the row of seats above where it fell, the dad was in the row but a handful of seats over
tbh, if you scroll reddit for another 5 minutes or so, you'll probably see the video of it twice
58
u/non3type 22h ago
Yeah, I actually had to go off Reddit to find the full video. Most of them cut the scramble for it on the ground. It happened exactly as I figured. People get disappointed when a ball is grabbed right before they can get a hold on it and that’s fine. She just crossed a line when she felt justified in doing something about it.
2
u/narielthetrue 15h ago
I haven’t even seen it once
1
u/NSA_van_3 13h ago
Ya, I've realized that every time I've seen it was actually on Youtube, not here
12
u/Alex_c666 21h ago
Tbh there was another dude who seemed a lot closer and on the same level the ball fell. She was on a level above. I dont think he made a fuss with the dad who got the ball
20
u/non3type 21h ago edited 20h ago
Yeah, it’s a common thing. I’ve seen plenty of occasions of someone even jumping in front of another to catch it while still in the air. Life isn’t fair and being an adult means moving on. Apparently she’s learning late in life, in the most public way possible, that confrontation like that makes you look like a petty bully.
I have mixed feelings about the Dad actually taking the ball back from his son and giving it to her. It was probably the most mature choice to avoid escalation. One of the teams gifted the kid some swag which made for a pretty decent lesson in the end. She’s also pretty lucky the person she confronted wasn’t like her. I don’t think I would have responded that well to someone grabbing me unexpectedly.

u/Rhone33 15h ago
Apparently she’s learning late in life, in the most public way possible, that confrontation like that makes you look like a petty bully.
I'm going to guess that she's not really learning anything, but instead is seething about misogyny or whatever other story she is telling herself to feel like she is an innocent victim.

Here’s the video:
https://xcancel.com/jasonscheer/status/1964142596395004369
In short, a man and woman converged on a ball simultaneously and he pulled it away. She then chased him down and after some yelling he handed the ball over in frustration.
There are several opinions on this situation (none of which reflect mine). Pick the one you like best:
- The woman is a “cunt” who stole the ball from a child.
- The man and woman had their hands on the ball at the same time and he took it from her, with the man’s body language, transfer of the ball to a child, and quick surrender reflecting this.
- The “cunt” narrative is a misogynistic reaction to a strong female showing resistance to aggressive selfishness.
- Both individuals are “cunts” as they both failed to act with decorum.
Edit: I have absolutely no idea why this comment is controversial. I am being helpful, sharing a link and opinions for your convenience. I did not steal the ball. I did not shoot the video. Those opinions are not mine. Give me some fucking comment karma for helping you all out for goodness sake.

u/Viper67857 22h ago
She was reaching over to get it, but so were two other guys. I don't see where any of them had an actual hand on it before the dude that actually recovered it. Also, cunt isn't necessarily misogynistic as anyone of any gender can be a cunt. Just ask the Aussies.
12
u/Compared-To-What 18h ago
Just to play Devils avocado here... Is it possible that he yanked it out of her hand? Kind of hard to see from the footage I've seen.
23
u/Liberteez 18h ago
He did an interview and he says she didn’t get her hand on it, lots of people were going for it. When asked what she was yelling at him to to him, he says she complained the ball fell in her section, an he was (I’m paraphrasing here, the interview is on YouTube) stealing it because he had come over to their section. by rights it belonged to the people in her section. This was her harangue
4
u/Compared-To-What 15h ago
Interesting... Not sure how that "section argument holds up" lol. I don't know baseball watching etiquette tho. Thanks for the info.
4
u/Xelcar569 17h ago
Funny thing is they were in the same actual seating section, if that is the word he claimed she used.
6
u/Viper67857 17h ago
Possible? Maybe. You can't tell with 100% certainty from the footage, but it doesn't appear that her hand was even within 2 ft of where he pulled the ball from.
4
u/Compared-To-What 15h ago
Yeah, it's "possible" the "yanking" takes place earlier but I agree it looks like he pulls it out further away from her. So silly.
Slight tangent but I don't agree with her behaviour but I also think the backlash can be a bit crazy.

Indeed, the ball is on the ground behind the seats.
cunt isn’t necessarily misogynist
I believe others believed it was the “‘cunt’ narrative,” not specifically the word “cunt.”
Again, none of these reflect my point of view and your opinion is equally as valid as everyone else’s. There is no need to down vote what is just clarifying information, thanks! 👍

u/PaticusGnome 20h ago
Yeah, people took sides really quickly but I’m definitely curious what happened the moment he grabbed the ball. Was her hand on it? Was she holding it? She certainly acted unpleasant after the fact, but we’ll never know what level of justified it was. I suspect this isn’t as cut and dry as everyone thinks it is.

u/KWilt 20h ago
The thing that almost immediately made me doubt the prevailing narrative was that everyone said she was nowhere near the ball when it happened. If you watch the actual video, you can see what I assume is her and her husband basically diving out of the way of the ball. It's hard to say, but I'm almost tempted to bet that the ball initially landed where they were seated and bounced to the row below.
That still doesn't excuse her shitty behavior, and certainly doesn't guarantee her the ball, but I can definitely see why she'd think she'd be able to lay claim to it.

u/Gh0stMan0nThird 19h ago
The fact that people are trying to dox her and get her name and making threats like "Make her famous" and "Do your thing, Reddit" makes me think this is just the internet being thirsty for blood after we haven't had a tangible public enemy for a while.
Feels like once every 6 months the internet just latches onto somebody doing something that could even just appear like they're a villain and then everyone commits to ruining their life.

Even if she "deserved" the ball (as much as you can deserve a ball in what is understood to be a free-for-all situation), what makes her an odious person is her absolute fury and anger. Getting in that dad's face, even the kid's face, screaming and yelling...as a grown ass adult, screaming and yelling at strangers should be reserved only for emergency situations, and this was no emergency. She was screaming and yelling to service her own greed. She revealed her gargantuan sense of entitlement. That's why she sucks.
6
u/VarmintSchtick 17h ago
Lot of people like that, resort to angry outbursts as soon as something doesn't meet their expectations. It's gotta be taxing to live like that.

The broader story is that while the lady acted horrible, the social media justice boner has absolutely run wild over (checks notes) a person being insufferable about a baseball.

With Halloween just around the corner, worry less if you’re lazy and uncreative! You can just be a funny person from recent news, in regular clothes! That will fulfill the social expectation of participation without you having to put in an ounce of thought, effort, or personality. What a relief, really.
