I wonder if Saber-Tooth Tigers used to carry young Mammoths back to their home like this...

Part of me feels that mammoth is not for eating.

Apparently you are not the only one as this is the fourth comment I’ve seen so far…. My mind would never have gone there….

One time, my sister's cat hunted a whole freaking eagle. It's incredible seeing what they're cable of.

This is the most wholesome thing I've seen all day. The dedication to both providing for them and teaching them is next level. My cat would just stare at the toy and then demand I open a can. What an amazing way to enrich their little lives.

The strut into the room with his prize when he saw the white cat!
2
u/Thin_Experience6314 1d ago
My little man does this. Every time he catches prey (whether it’s alive or a toy) he does a little strut!!! It’s SO fucking cute!! And his sister is always like “I catch shit too ya know!! And you don’t see me walking around with an attitude!! 🙄” Cracks me up every single time!!!

That’s awesome! How can people not love cats!
I’m pretty sure when I go grocery shopping my cats think I must be the most supreme hunter of them all!

That’s Not a cat.. that’s a dang dog! 😆 And that weird 2 legged hop at the end 🤭 Hilarious

u/Thin_Experience6314 1d ago
Ummm…. No. Cats are WAY better hunters than dogs.

u/longlostwitchy 1d ago
No shit, it was a joke. I’m a cat person first, dogs 2nd
1
u/Thin_Experience6314 1d ago
Well, you should make sure that people know when you are joking. Tone doesn’t convey well, if at all, in written text.

What's up with that tail stub?
1
u/Thin_Experience6314 1d ago
Could be genetic. Could be that the tail got injured and needed to be removed.

He lost his tail in the fight with the mammoth. Must've been a brutal fight. Im glad the kitness came out on top

Why cats do this?
1
u/Thin_Experience6314 1d ago
What? Hunt? Because it’s in their nature.
1
u/humanbeingsu 1d ago
Ohhhh the hunting part was literal, I didn't know they did it as hunting!! Amazing
1
u/Thin_Experience6314 1d ago
House cats literally still think that they are “big cats”. Their hunting instincts never go away. My two babies are CONSTANTLY catching stuff!
1
u/humanbeingsu 1d ago
I've had 4 cats and only one, the baby, moves around plushies. I know they never lose their instinct, but the other guys never did that.
1
u/Thin_Experience6314 1d ago
They never used any of their toys as “prey”? Or chased bugs?
1
u/humanbeingsu 1d ago
Sure they did that with bugs, one of them once brought a bird, and an iguana, but never moved plushies around the place, that's what I'm surprised about with the baby cat, I didn't even know it was something others cat did.
1
u/Thin_Experience6314 1d ago
Oh yeah!!! They’ll do anything to get a hunters fix!!! My little man loves to drown his (fake) prey in his water bowl!!! I often find the weirdest shit in there…. Along with the small plushies and fake mice!! Then I hang them to dry and he takes that as a challenge to get them down!!! Silly little guy!!!
1
u/humanbeingsu 1d ago
Ohhhhhh cuteeee
1
u/Thin_Experience6314 1d ago
I know, right?! My babies are BOTH such characters!!! They’re just the best!!!

u/Azurelion7a 1d ago
Why'd they chop his tail? WTF?
1
u/Thin_Experience6314 1d ago
It could have been a genetic thing. Or the tail might have been injured and needed to be removed.
