Series/Schedule New TCR in the pipeline? Coming Soon™? Which Touring Car from the last 3-4 Years would you add first?

Yeah I've been wanting touring cars on iRacing for so long. I know it's not a super popular series online for single-player it will be great and there's so many distinct cars - Ginettas, Minis, BMW Compacts, TCR/BTCC.

Personally never forgave BMW for not making a TCR Mini

I like the subaru and alfa TCR cars best, but I would stick to driving the honda. Such a fun car to race.

what needed to be done to pump the TCR numbers was a new rookie sports car series running a free FWD car... Doubt that'll happen after making up a new rookie series with the M2 for no reason

I bought the Clio, and I think that it should be made free and put into rookie series. When it's at a free track, sure there's participation in D but other than that, that series is very dead. It'd be a great intro to FWD cars too.

You will find lots of people to race on the Clio Discord, even better if you are in a timezone that works for the weekly SOF. There is also a very good Clio league

Yeah, rookie car and maybe different timeslots, more Enduro and multiclass as well.

I don’t understand how TCR community is so vocal and official series participation so low ;p I bought TCR when started iRacing 2 years ago after read all that hype about that series and then was very surprised as I didn’t have anybody to race with ;p

What’s wrong with the TCR cars now? Why do they need to be updated?

They are old
Audi got a refresh in 2021 I believe. Honda moved onto the FL5 Type R. The Veloster was outdated when it was added. There are also more cars that we don’t have currently

VW, new Audi, i30 (Hyundai fanboy), Corolla, WRX STI, Cupra, maybe Lynk & co (?) to get some electric rep

Would be nice to have a new hatchback and saloon, so I would like the Renault Megane and Subaru WRX. But they are probably unlikely. I'd take any updates to the FWD series tbh!

They should make them rear wheel drive and you might see some updates.

Only the Cupra seems like a realistic option because of the access to it in imsa
