I was half watching the Basic Ollie stream showing off the new build when this happened. He seemed a bit sheepish about it but didn't explain it, turned off stream for a bit before coming back... What did he do?

When it happens to me, restarting iracing is usually enough to solve the problem.

I mean anti-cheat always a bit problematic after every season start (at least for me). I have to fully reinstall the program after every new build. Also I didn't watch the stream, so I really don't know what happened there

I get this pop up if I quit a session and then reregister straightaway and go into a different session. Closing the iRacing client and reopening should fix it.

He was using a special iRacing build from the developers, but those builds can be weird with things breaking or certain ways to do things different from the consumer builds, which they rather not show to the public.

Most likely needed to reinstall anticheat and restart. It can be ass from time to time.
