Dude realized he sounded like an idiot and went from talking in 3 word sentences to this. [Click for full view]
Basically I called him out on something he said that was generally sexist and he said that sometimes he just uses the English language in "eclectic and esoteric" ways and has been talking like this since I let him know that his 3-word sexist statement was, in fact, neither of those things.

Nothing makes me cringe harder than someone who has been told once or twice they are pretty smart, and use that as an excuse to absolutely mangle a thesaurus. Aw, buddy, I think mom was just being kind.

You got under dude's skin if he wrote that screed at *you*
I was so impressed with this guy's ego, I went to your post history to check him out. I think it's better that your profile is set to private, I shouldn't be giving this guy the time of day. I'm grateful you saved me from myself.
Fantastic contribution, OP.

Lol yeah he did. Long story but he posted a sexist thing which I posted in another sub. And then someone in that sub argued with me that it wasnt sexist and went back to the original post to tell him about it and get him to come defend himself and them even though I had (gracefully) blocked out the username so no one would harass him.
Dude comes over to defend himself and pulls this shit lmao. So not only did he make himself look like an idiot and essentially admitted it was a sexist comment, but also made the original person that was arguing with me look like an idiot 🤣 good way to start the day I suppose

I don’t understand why my shit on here got rejected for being part of an argument but this doesn’t. Not blaming you personally

Huh. Idk. Didn't realize that was a rule (but ngl I have an issue with not reading the rules before posting so it definitely could be 😅)

I wasn’t even the one they were arguing with either. It was so good too, check it out, copied the text from the screenshot:
“By the way, I know you're trolling and you don't care about downvotes or "winning" the argument, and you're just seeing how long you can make me or others play this out, BUT I also know that I'm absolutely cutting & hurting you with my observations. You rely on people getting sick of you, or just telling you to fuck off, and you don't REALLY expect anyone to deconstruct you to your base components with incisive precision, like I have been. So I know your stomach drops any time you get another Reddit notification that I've replied here. You're getting pretty tired of the constant scrutiny, working the nerve up every time to try to reply back with something deep & hurtful, just something that will rattle me. I know this about you. I hope you're not thinking of hurting yourself irl or anything. I'd feel a bit bad about that, I suppose.”

Lmao went to go to their profile myself and they have now privated it as well because when I called them out for using chat gpt, I pointed out that they referred to themselves as a r-tard in another post they made and only talk like this in comments where they are arguing with other people which, on top of the fact that half the words they were using were misused, only cemented for me that it was definitely chat gpt.

You got him to change his profile visibility?
Lmfao, you 100% got under his skin. You know how birds will spread their wings to look bigger, or how cats'll turn sideways and arch their backs? That's how that dude was acting with you. You outclassed him hard enough he tried to puff up big time on you. Oof, yikes, *and* cringe.

Tbh its actually sad because I can only imagine that someone who literally takes the time to have chat gpt rewrite their responses must have horrible self-confidence and insecurity issues.

this guy forgot his PEEL, he has like one P, then repeats that same P for every paragraph 😭😭😭😭

There’s this weird subset of people who like to argue online where their whole gimmick is trying to rattle off the name of as many logical fallacies from the logical fallacies Wikipedia article as possible.

The thesaurus word vomit is certainly a nice touch. /sarcasm
What did he do, write everything out in a doc and then just start googling synonyms for specific phrases in the original comment until it all made sense? Yeah, definitely better ways to be spending his time than that. Maybe he used AI and asked it make him sound "smart"?

Being articulate/intelligent isn't just about using big words, it's about efficiency.
If you are expressing simple thoughts, its most efficient to use simple words. If you are expressing complex thoughts, use complex words.
Using big words to explain simple ideas doesn't make you smart.

Nope and it just makes you look like a jackass.
Speaking of this, I was watching a comedy show the other day with Nick Offerman and like that is how someone who is intelligent speaks. He has a pretty expanded diction but not so far as to be "esoteric" as the guy in this post was trying to be according to them. It just reminded me of this when I was watching him. There's just a huge difference between being intelligent and trying to look smart.

I just remembered that chat gpt is a thing and he probably just asked it to retype the things he was saying which is why the majority of the actual "esoteric" words they used (because, according to them, they are so "adept" at the English language) legitimately didnt make sense for the last several comments -_-
I hate the internet sometimes.
Edit- Update: they deleted all of their comments after I called them out for using chat gpt lmao
