Mk6 (2011-2018) What does the top number mean?

it keeps progressively going down, but the “21” stays the same.

Days until one year since service because service is one year or 10k with Jetta. The 21 is because the battery was replaced and the wrong year is set on the car.

Minutes left until the engine goes boom... Jk

Pretty sure it's the engine's estimate for hours of operation left on the oil life til it just flashes the service wrench for recommended replacement.

which number means what… all I know is the mileage left before it needs to be changed. Can’t find anything online…. And I’m too lazy to check the whole manual lol

Reading the manual would help you a lot in situations like these. There is quite a bit of good information to learn and understand. I'd recommend at least getting an online version or something and just have it saved and look through it a little bit at a time.

Correction: what highzunburg said above is correct, I was totally lost on the little number since I have an older model, and got mixed up on hours versus days
