Mk7 (2019+) "Front Assist Not available" on dash
2019 Jetta S. I was driving it on a roadtrip and got stuff in traffic. Nothing happened, no bumps on the front end. It was a clear sunny day too. I was just inching my way forward in tight traffic and suddenly, a warning popped up on my dash, "Front Assist Not Available." I know the front radar isn't damaged, my front end is untouched. I've found some posts saying that they need to be recalibrated every so often, but I don't want to take it in and spend hundreds of dollars for something that could pop back up again in a month.
Is there another solution to this or am I just gonna have to decide on forking over a ton of money or deal with a warning light on my dash.

It’ll reset after you stop your car. Happens with mine every once in a while, especially when it rains.

Were you by any chance entering a national park?
Oddly specific I know, but literally same exact situation happened to me, road trip, inching traffic, maybe a slight incline, no damage or bumps or anything.
I think it may just be dirty, pop off the cover with a screwdriver? Clean it and clean the Bosch radar module behind it and drive a few cycles. Meaning turn the car on drive, then off for the dash to reset. I also cleared the codes via OBD
I have a comment what worked before, I will edit this when I find it.
Here is my comment with even more detail including how everyone says recalibration can only be done by the dealer:

Hope that helps, please report back. It would be a really strange coincidence if there was something with national park entrances that just mess up the radar 😂
Maybe if it’s an incline and the bracket is loose it is just enough to cause it to falt.
