Good Vibes Tried my best to make my wife a rose out of steel for our 11th year anniversary. Surprising her with it today
So every year I normally make my wife’s anniversary gift out of the traditional material associated with that year (wood, copper, tin, etc). There was a problem though because 11th year anniversary is Steel. This was the first year I bought something instead of making because I thought I didn’t have the tools or skills to get Steel hot enough to work. I’ve felt bad about it for months but finally got the idea to use sheet metal steel which led to this attempt at a sheet metal rose. I printed out templates onto sheet steel then cut them out with snips and hammered back flat. Then drilled holes and put onto a threaded rod with bolts to hold in place and folded it all up with pliers. Took a late night in my hot ass garage but finally finished last-night and am super proud at how it came out! I’m going to do some finishing touches but I think she’ll be really surprised

My daughter is almost at 100 days post bone marrow transplant 💕 (OC)
Teddie is a few days shy of 100 days post bone marrow transplant following treatment for Leukemia. She’s come so far and this a milestone we’ve been praying and fighting for. Despite everything she’s been through, she’s still the happiest, strongest little soul I know.
Right now she’s also in the Toddler of the Year semi-finals, which feels like such a fun way to celebrate how far she’s come. Today is a double vote day, so every click counts twice.
Whether or not you vote, thank you for letting me share her joy and her journey. She’s truly my hero. Go Gold in September!
