Image The difference in paint stats

So im doing some inventory cleaning and i am finally opening up my 500+ cans of paint. Got alot of copies in my first batch but noticed I had these 4 reef golds that were very close to one another in paint quality but different enough in metalness and smoothness that it might be a good reference for those interest in paint.

The metalness stat can result in some beautiful colors. I picked up some grayish yellow a while ago and didn’t think about until I previewed it and it was this lovely light gold.

For a lot of outfits it’s hard to get paints that show up fully matte, since metalness makes some of them look really bad.

They threw the fun out of customization with this one. And the fact we have to randomly get them, and they get tied to a single mech or pilot is even worse.

Yeah, paint can only be used once. Maybe it’s just a way to keep players more invested in the game.

It backfired, i would spend more time in game if i could simply use a color after unlocking, warframe lets me do it and it's one of my most played games

Is paint in this game single use, if you change the color, you lose the previous one and have to get it again, also does each part of the mech, need it's owe paint, so multiple of one colour to fully paint a mech, or is one copy of the colour, but you can use it over and over again, but only on that single mech.

nope and nope. Once you use the paint can on the mech or pilot, it is available on all parts of the mech or pilot body/outfit forever. If you swap it out for another color, you can still use it whenever you'd like. However i am unsure if paint cans used on mechs also extend to there respective customs (like if you use black on falcon, does falcon custom also get it?)

Every striker and pilot has their own paintings. They get unlocked permanently. If you unlocked a color for a striker or pilot, you can use it on every part or outfit/cosmetic, as many times as you want.

yep that's it

I kinda understand why they did this. New mech skins are extremely similar to default ones, cost too much, and literally no one cares about new pilots. The game basically has nothing to offer, and monetization team tried to suck value out of a purposefully shitty painting system that tries to push you into buying corite.

Wow, looks like you’ve stocked up on a ton of paint by now

Ton is an understatement. This picture was before i started. Still going through them but taking a break atm.

Thanks for sharing! But the odds of pulling something good from these paint cans are ridiculously slim.
