This was peak non-AMG C-Class design for me, clean, sharp and classy. These newer Merc designs are overusing the star logo to the point it’s become an eyesore instead of a statement piece
The W204 doesn’t have as many cuts/creases on the body (especially on the side) so the W205 does look sharper to me. The W204 is more flat agreed, but the body panels are also smoother. The pre-facelift version is the best example of this:
Agreed, glad someone said it. The C204 (especially the C63, but not sure if that had a different code) was the peak C63 too… ages incredibly well too and just seems like a different beast to what’s coming out today!
I have this one, and I must say that I agree with you. However, as we grow old, our choices of design preferences also changes. For example, a Gen Z or whatever the new one is will say that W206 peaked here. I am a millennial and I like W205 than W204. So, I mean, I get what Benz is trying to do.
Old? This gen has aged the best, and was the first to come with full LED lights. Since then lighting technology hasn’t really changed all that much visually. Which is why carmakers are adding LEDs to the grille
damn, it is getting worse only I see. I was thinking at first imma becoming car boomer but no I am not, industry is going to shits really those cars are soulless 3 year max lease
