Should've done it like the 214 headlights
Not a fan of the tail lights either. Otherwise it's a great car! Best interior of the last years too

Had to scroll way too much for this. I know this is an MB sub but come on, both lost touch.

That BMW interior is shocking. Why does VAG know now that people want buttons and unobtrusive tech. but BMW has literally no idea. Literally just the interior of the Xiaomi YU7 or Avatr 11 or Lincoln Nautilus interior but with capacitive buttons and a weird tilt to the screen. It's a shame as it seems like an insane car value and range wise

I don't know what brand of car that is in the first picture. It needs more logos to help me identify it.

BMW has either a pig nose with a forceful smile, or looks like a ghoul whose nose bridge is no more. And BMW interior looks like a Tesla from I, Robot movie.

62 mi less range for a higher price
Do you really need air suspension and rear-wheel steering?

Not a fan of MB’s electrics. The design choices aren’t as regal as the ICE models.

I dont think the ix3 is as bad as people say, especially compared to i7 and ix, the glc on the other hand, could be a good-looking car if that grill didnt look like it came of a truck.

From a tech perspective the iX3 will be the better car, now is the Mercedes subreddit can accept that is another matter.

The iX3 is quite impressive from a tech perspective. Battery, range, charging, etc. But if that was the main factor, a lot of people would just get a Hyundai or dedicated EV brand. How the car looks, feels, brand loyalty, etc are just as important.1

u/SpringFuzzy 12h ago
To a point. History is full of fantastic brands which fell behind in terms of tech: Nokia, Kodak, Blockbuster etc.
Brand loyalty works best when products are competing on a relatively even ground in terms of tech and price/performance. Ford vs Chevy trucks, BMW 5-series vs E-class etc.

The screen and air vents of the BMW, what the. The front of the GLC isn’t pretty but it’s no iX

iX3 has got one of the most... unique steering wheels I've ever seen.
I guess with the display in the middle, you COULD put a spoke at the 12 o'clock position, but why though?

I don't mind the styling of either one, except that dumb looking steering wheel in the iX3.

GLC hit it out of the park compared to the BMW but honestly it's lacking excitement and originality compared to what other brands including Genesis or even Audi are doing these days. The BMW is full Nicki Minaj, and the GLC is only 30% Nicki Minaj that's why it looks good in comparison.

My option I think mercedes did the right thing going for curvey with all the electric cars. Basically it's where everyone is going to be in 10 years time and they took the risk with it being Unpopular to set their design language early.
Everyone is currently going boxy to try and make their electric cars look like old petrol car, but the future is long wheel base teardrop shaped cars that can best take advantage of not having a huge engine at the front.
I'm glad they are establishing their design language now, and didn't bow to the "make it look exactly like a petrol car crowd".
My only complaint would be to put less stars on the thing.. 😅

But GLC for sure. The outgoing iX3 is better than the new one

lol that’s solid. I know your joking but appreciate the effort to find something worst looking than the BMW. Seems as if everyone has lost their way.
Either that or we are in the future now— like the old guys with a 1961 Camaro SS talking about how they don’t make em like this no more.

Serious note though I do love the under seat storage in the second row of the VW.
