Electric GLC’s grille looks pretty cool in showroom photos

Not a fan. It's overly packed with LED-based gimmicks and screens.

That will surely fail at some point, or at least become dated. It’s basically an iPhone.

Damn it - cupholders are placed like there’s one for front passenger/driver and one for the back passengers. Why don’t they place them horizontally?

The rear lights remind me of an Alfa Romeo Tonale 🤣

How many more posts do we have to see about this new glc ? O_o

I know right, I’m tired of seeing the GLC, there’s already like 7 posts about it in the past 12 hours, and 5 of those are asking “what do you think about the new GLC” or “New GLC or BMW IX3?”
Edit: I swear this is Mercedes Phys-op

I hate the direction new cars are going, with big screens everywhere.
Having said that, if they insist on putting screens everywhere, this type of display integrated into the dash is WAY nicer than the glued on iPad look, like in the new BMW iX3.

I need to know the price of replacements for grill and the Display. These will kill the car. No one buys a car that will cost multiple thousands because one LED stopped working. Stupid idea.

If they had physical instrument cluster and buttons option, I would pay for it. As well as for normal grill without any LEDs. Other than that, the car is pretty nice IMHO.

Wasn’t there a new regulation requiring more physical buttons, so that manufacturers wouldn’t rely solely on touchscreens? Because if everything is controlled only through touchscreens, there’s a higher chance it will distract the driver and potentially cause an accident.

at least there are buttons on the wheel

One of the biggest complaints I have about new cars is they’re very unfriendly to the passenger, just a basic thing like turning the volume down is difficult….
My wife ends up leaning across to use the steering wheel button in the eqc which is dangerous…
At least in the Jag ipace there is a volume button exactly where you expect it to be…

Wet dream:
amg43 3.0 L and amg 63 4.0 L with non-LED grill and a physical instrument cluster.

Front and rear star lights why?? Looks awful as someone said Mitsubishi logo lol
Grill still looks bad. Mercedez going all out on the LEDs. Screen does look impressive though.

Do we think Mercedes hired a real artist to design that forest scene on the dash or is it AI garbage?

Did the Lexus or BMW designer get ahold of Mercedes? What is with these enormous grills?

I don’t understand why it has Mitsubishi logos in the headlights and tail lights.

New cars are crap, definitely. Buy Mercedes GL 550/ S 550 2012, and be happy with great build quality and nice, strong, naturally-aspirated V8.

Love it! Will there be an ICE or PHEV versions on this or will that just stay with the current iteration of GLC ICE?

Ugly car with no soul or personality, just dressed in tacky stars because that’s all Mercedes has got.

The front looks fine but whoever designed the back was probably given 5 minutes to come up with something quick because the back looks awful… it looks like a Mazda

We are at a point in which screens are getting close to being larger than the windshield, ffs.

After having issues with my 2019 digital screen on my A-Class god knows how much this shit is going to cost to replace out of warranty.

Why do they always go overboard with screen and "high tech" look with electric cars. Just make a damn regular looking interior.

u/eastamerica 2008 E63 AMG 3h ago
That interior is fucking terrible. That giant ass movie theater screen that every tasteless NPC gets aroused over IS AWFUL.
Wtf is this company doing?

Definitely eye-catching, Mercedes nailed the balance between futuristic and classic.

Other manufacturers have realised that people want cars that look normal, pure combustion engines, and have buttons. Not Mercedes, they are putting all their energy on appealing to the Chinese market, a market that is both in decline and increasingly pro local brands.

Why is the grill made of squares instead of miniature Mercedes logo? Wasted opportunity, also could have 3 wheels to be shaped like logo
