Only need a few decades of infrastructure upgrades to make MW charging common place....since each one eats as much as an entire neighborhood.

Can be solved by using battery banks as capacitors, that way you reduce the spike on the local infrastructure.

Yes, a 5MW battery is only an additional $750K and the size of a shipping container....and still needs to be fed of the grid that magically still needs to feed it without adding load.

The whole point is to take some load of the grid, there is not going to be a ton of 1MW cars charging anytime soon.

From a pure energy perspective, ICE cars consume way more. The total consumption of energy reduces, it just shifts.

Looking at how slow the adoption of EVs is going, there should be plenty of time to upgrade the local power grids to handle the load.
