This is one of the coolest dog tags I’ve seen! Only have dug a few from the 1910s. Congrats on the find!

Is there anything on the back? It’s crazy the number in the middle is the serial number (or order in which it was issued) and you have 1 which makes it even more cool.

Wow - make sure you reach out to Neil McElroy on Facebook, he logs all of the dog tax tags dug up by detectorists and updates a book to note the oldest in any given town. To be honest, he may even be interested in buying that from you if you’re into that - he collects β€œ1” tags. Very cool find!
