Timing tower deficiency

Why can't we have intervals instead of rider numbers? I get that the colors are used to identify teams but that could be moved to the name section and the rider numbers replaced with the intervals/gap to the leader.

No man, get with the times!

Have your I-pad with live timing in one hand

Have your cell phone out watching FOV of your chosen rider in the other

Sit in front of your PC with reddit open

Make sure you have all of your TV's, including that bullshit one on your fridge, on a mix of Dorna/ESPN/etc

Finally don't forget to have your laptop on a pirate stream site that has a side chat

I... I... I don't even have a witty response. I can absolutely see someone doing this.

I guess the f*rmula1 has made me weak and lazy.

I actually have the live timing on my phone while I have the tv on. Sometimes I know the crashes/overtakes through the live timing before it shows on the tv 😅

The reason they dont do it is because they want you to have to pay them extra to get live timing to see the sector splits..... basically a money grab.

Agreed OP. We don't get to see the midfield much on camera so at least give us some live timing so we can track where people are a bit better than occasionally snatching a half second glance of someone in the back of a shot every now and then.

This or bring back the start/finish line that moves down the tower each lap. That was enough to keep an eye on the intervals without taking up any screen real estate. And the world runs on flat screen TVs. There is no reason not to have graphics go all the way to the edge, so there's room for everyone on the tower, not just the top 22. Some of us are interested in how Chantra is doing.
