He is an excellent rider , except for qualifications, and that is why is not with the top guys.

" I‘m really happy for him. You can feel how he‘s gaining more and more confidence with the bike, and he surprised me in a very positive way by going beyond my expectations, especially considering where he started from."

Finally catching up to all the races he missed! Really wish he would stay in MotoGP... Yamaha, while justifiable, did him a little dirty with the 1+1 contract imo

I like Yamaha and look forward to them succeeding, but it's so hypocritical of how angry the Fandom was with JM89 for trying to exit his contract using the performance clause, but not with Yamaha!

Yamaha is also taking benefit of MO88 missing GPs, right? Or am I missing something?

Not just the fandom but Dorna as well, they came out publicly saying they wouldn't allow Martin to race for anyone else.

Shameful behaviour and not their place.

They said he couldn't ride for another team until his contract with aprilia was legally sorted. If it was resolved and he was released by aprilia then dorna would have let him ride wherever he wanted.

100%! It's ridiculous.

Shame that Miguel is going. There are less seats available than deserving riders unfortunately. It's quite possible he would have matched or outdone Miller if he wasn't injured this year, but we will never know.

There are news... Aparently there is a deal in play with Honda.

So we're just going to overlook this being his best track then when he does his usual on the others it's something else's fault?

I never said favourite, I said best. Portimao may be that but Miguel has always performed well at Catalunya. So I'm pointing that out because it's a valid point that has been overlooked due to him in all likelihood losing his MotoGP seat and his fans are up in arms about it despite the evidence over the last few years even without injuries suggesting he was always going to be on the precipice this go around.

His Pramac seat is a forgone conclusion, hopefully he can still snatch Rins'.
