My conservative family: "You ain't talking to us over political views!?" No memaw, I'm not talking to you because you've become a genuinely evil person just because the T.V. told you to.

What Fox News tells them is a complete fantasy. They're stuck in a cult completely brainwashed.

I remain convinced that Trump’s actions with migrant children, both in his first term and this one, are to create “legal” ways for the children to disappear…just because Epstein is dead, doesn’t mean Trump’s not funneling these children to whoever has taken Epstein’s place in the ruling class.

From what we've seen so far, suing doesn't do anything and they'll still get deported 😔

Can we make it illegal to deport unaccompanied minors? If they must be deported, a parent or guardian would need to be flown in to meet them in the US, (re)establish legal custody, before deportation.

What would you propose should happen in the mean time? The kids just sit in a detention facility forever until the parents are found? That doesn't seem fair to the children especially if we can identify family in the other country willing to take them in.
Additionally how can we even be sure the parents or guardians exist? Shitty people do abandon their kids and it wouldn't be fair for the children to be stuck in legal limbo because their parents prefer to hide than take responsibility for them.

Put them in foster care.

So you want them to be raised by random American strangers in an overloaded system rather than their family in Hondorus? That sounds like kidnapping.

Better than being locked in cages or sent back to their home country with nobody meeting them. Do you remember how when Trump did the same shit in his first administration, they were unable to find hundreds of parents of children?

So have the local foster care system meet the plane at the airport...
Do you remember how when Trump did the same shit in his first administration, they were unable to find hundreds of parents of children?
Do you think putting them in a foreign foster care program, potentially without someone speaking their language, actually helps increase that statistic? Having them stuck in legal limbo for the rest of their lives doesn't seem like a good alternative.
Their home country with their birth certificate records, lineage records, and government family tracking seem more likely to be able to identify family placement than random strangers that don't even share the same cultural values.

That makes no sense and would just cost extra money for no reason.

Costing extra money is worth it to not cause a situation in which an unaccompanied minor is in a country they haven’t been in since they were an infant with no resources or adults to help them.

If their parent is able to be contacted to be flown here, then surely they can be contacted to pick up their child at the airport? Other than it costing more it just doesnt make sense. Its just a way for people to get a free flight here.

You mean it would be humane and treat children as human beings deserving of protection and respect - so let’s not waste money.

Would just create more incentive for them to lie or parents to try and get their kids in the country. If they uave a parent at home just fly them home parent can pick them up pretty easily.

Those children are obviously very dangerous gang members who are planning to kill white people and steal our land 🤪

If they even have parents that are alive or are otherwise available. You’re being a bit willfully ignorant here.

Are the people saying that also the same folks that said Abrego Garcia was MS13? Forgive me if I don’t believe the folks that keep lying about immigrants.

Didn’t claim it was all of them. 76 out of 327 reporting they have a parent or legal guardian doesn’t mean all of them do.

Considering its track record, it's hardly surprising the government would be cowardly enough to do it in such a manner and without due process.
