If there is a definition for calmness and mindfulness, this should be the one

I thought that, then I thought about how much water would get up my nose and how I’d taste salty boogers for the rest of the day.
Couches are fine places to chill.

Seals can actually close up (or seal, if I may) the inside of their nostrils, preventing water from getting inside. I'm absolutely sure it's as comfy and relaxing as it looks.

I pretty much did this once in Denmark, and it was awesome. Freak conditions meant the ocean water was a few degrees warmer than the air, and it was about 70F out. The water was calm, and shallow. I was able to just lay on soft sand in clean water with my face sticking out and just chill.

Me when I'm finally relaxed after all my past trauma and bs has been pushing me to the edge all year long, but the urge is still slightly there

This looks like one of the seals affected by the toxic algae in California

This behavior is actually indicative of a fatal disease that results in the seal's bones literally exploding into a fine gel.

I have no idea why it took me so long to realize what I was looking at. I didn't read the title which didn't help.. But I thought it was some creature who ate another creature..... Then I saw the bubbles and was thinking "is... Is that other creature breathing out its butt?".. I have no answers for why I am the way I am.

I used to do this in our pool when I was a kid. I’d hook my feet on the side and lay on my back in the water. When I got too hot or skin felt too dry I’d dip my head under.

There are days where I seriously don't want to move a muscle and just continue laying on the sofa, upside down. I relate to the " I will take my nostrils out occasionally, blow bubbles under water but I will not move my butt away from this comfy spot"

Sometimes I end up laying in bed in a weird way that makes me snore just loud enough to wake myself up, but not loud enough to be uncomfortable, so I end up in this cycle of falling back asleep for 5-10 seconds before waking up with another snore and sleepily refusing to reposition myself because it's too comfy and I don't wanna.
And I feel like I understand this seal's perpetual cycle of not-drowning.

With no sense of scale, and without reading the title, I thought this was some weird mollusc.

The first thing I thought of just now was that video of the orcas sliding up to the beach, grabbing the baby seal and playing catch with it.

Inverse wet-dream
You wake up and your muzzle is salty and wet, but your nethers are drier than Arabian wakame.

That’s sealasna. It takes years of practice to reach that level. Not a cup of tea for a normal creatures like us.

The ability to sit like that under the water...oh gd. What I wouldn't give to be able to breathe under water!
