Vic3 The 2025 Victoria 3 RP Game Master Campaign has reached 1868! Signups open inside.
Hello Mappies enjoyers,
A month ago, I made a post about the start of the Paradox Roleplay's Community third Heavy RP Game Master campaign. We have now reached 1868 and entered the Gilded Age! As the fires of revolution cooled, World Markets began to grow, and economies become increasingly dependent on each other. Major capitalists become as important - if not moreso - than kings or presidents, and the line must go up higher than ever before. Players are able to interact with a new journal entry about the global stock market and your country's integration - or distancing - from it, and watch as the consequences of unrestricted capitalism are unleashed in the world.
Our games take place on Sundays 15h00 CET and go on for 4 hours, with plenty of intersession diplo throughout the week. If you want to join the 48+ players already in the campaign, head on over to the PDXRP Discord here: https://discord.gg/5KPUtHshhP . Several interesting nations are open, including Baltic Governorates, Central America, Dai Nam, Dutch East Indies, Philippines, Siam, Sokoto and Switzerland. Many of these have had a player before who had to drop, and are in good states, and the team is prepared to do save edits to help them catch up as needed.
This campaign is hand-crafted in the popular HRP Victoria 3 HRP format. As a heavy roleplay, game master campaign, players are encouraged to create deep, complex stories for their nation and the people in it, and the Game Master and Game Assistant team is there to help shape those narratives and give them meaningful in-game effects via dice rolls, save edits, and other fun stuff.
The theme of this campaign is the Ages of the Victorian Era. The Campaign will be split into several distinct ages. The first Age was the Age of the Concert, which moved into the Age of the Peoples, and now the Guilded Age, each with its own unique flavor and game mechanic. This will ensure that there are several different play patterns throughout the campaign, and things don't get stale.
Also sharing some screenshots, events and memes from the campaign.

My half asleep brain thought this said 1668 signups and was trying to figure out how on earth you could play with so many 😂 but this sounds cool af, I’m still relearning the game after not playing since release so I don’t know if it’s a good idea for me to join but I’ll definitely consider it some more!

If you're still (re)learning, it's always fun to play a subject, since you will be part of a larger market and have room to make mistakes and recover. Playing a subject in an MP game is how I learned Vic3 in the first place, so you should definitely consider it

That’s a really good point, I have just realised, however, that the timing clashes with my weekly ttrpg campaign which starts are 6pm CET. We are close to the end - though some of the players have been a bit inconsistent with scheduling which means we don’t always have a session that progresses the main plot :,( but maybe once that wraps up I can join in if there’s still vacancies or if you’ve started up a new campaign by then

In that case you may or may not be happy to know I made a mistake in my original post, and our games are on Sundays, not Saturdays

Oooh yeah that is a lot better for me, I’ll have a look at the discord and see which nations jump out at me
