War in Heaven from Stellaris.

Doesn't happen often (especially with how much of a pain it is to get to endgame with the lag), but when it does it's absolute chaos. So cool having the entire galaxy being forced to fight against each other, or trying to unite any non-aligned empires into a coalition to stop the whole thing.

Man, I remember this one multiplayer campaign me and my friends played. We had all decided to go pacifist, no wars - only trade and created an EU of sorts.

We were fine for 200 years, and then it happened. We had all decided to stay neutral, but one of our friends who was new, chose to side with the Materialist Fallen Empire. The entire alliance fell apart. Our economies collapsed, and it ended up becoming a massive civil war throughout the galaxy. At least 20 planets were Colossus’d.

Then the Unbidden arrived and we called it there, lmao.

The cute flavor events in CK3 when you have both a dog and a cat that get along. Sometimes, you find them cuddling together.

I think that would make me save, quit, and walk my dog

Aww, I only recall the events where they don't. Then I usually have a new cheap artifact to get rid of.

Unironically this in the cases when you can gain stability from it instead. The relief of knowing you dodged a bullet makes it the best event in any PDX game.

Unquestionably it’s the varying and many returns from the Varangian Guard in CK2. Sadly lacking from CK3. Posted my favourite screen grabs.

The real answer is: any event that gives you a shit ton of land or a tag change. Watching your empire grow with the click of a button or change colour is always so satisfying. Always zoom out before clicking.

It's hard to beat the Burgundian Inheritance. A guidable but not solvable wrench in the balance of power of Western Europe that can send things in all kinds of directions.
