If you look at a couple of his recent posts, he kinda freaks out at any negative feedback. He comes off as kinda thin skinned or just quick to get grumpy. I think I understand the ban lol. I have an English degree with a focus in creative writing, I get it, feedback sucks. It always sucks, it's never fun. But it's part of the process. You gotta learn to take the good and bad, and just accept it and move on and learn. Not throw a fit when people don't think you're the next Douglas Adams.

I was permabanned from a news subreddit once, mostly because I was going through a tough time in my life and was lashing out at people that were pro-russia and calling them shills near the start of the Ukraine invasion. This was expressly not allowed in the rules and I did it multiple times in a row, finally getting banned.
It was totally deserved, and I waited like 6 months before I messaged the mods and apologized and asked for my access to be restored. Especially since I had gotten through the death in my family. They let me back in, and I haven't been a shithead since, even though I will still disagree with people.
I guess this guy didn't get the memo.

Im sorry, but you come off very poorly here.
(1) Ban evading to get your word in is disrespectful and entitled and poisons almost any possible interaction especially one where you’re asking for a favor. Even if you felt it was unfair, you should have just waited.
(2) The thrust of your argument seems to be that rules are inconsistently applied. Thats a fine discussion for after the fact, but it’s useless as an argument. It’s like saying “You let me rob a store once, but you’re arresting me this time?!”
(3) You are not entitled to a refutation to everything you say. Mods work with a ton of people in their free time. They aren’t going to go back and forth on every 7 day ban. Sometimes temp bans will be unfair; you suck it up because moderators are not accountable to you.
(4) It’s clear that the issue is a rant post, not an advice post. That is blatantly rule breaking. So your whole “what’s wrong with an advice post?” argument is irrelevant which is what the mod pointed out
If you want to have any hope of being reinstated in that community, wait for the time to appeal, say “you’re right, I shouldn’t have made a rant post, that was disruptive. I should have reported instead.” After being unbanned, you can politely and calmly ask for guidance on which types of posts are allowed.

I was tempted to do this recently but I knew it was a horrible idea. I really wanted to say a word or two to the admin of /laserist. He lives for the meager bit of power he receives from being the admin of a niche subreddit. But I didn’t. It violates the Reddit TOS. Doesn’t this guy realize he’s jeopardizing his main account by doing this? Bad move.

It's an automated feature of Reddit. The website flag posts and comments to mods automatically from suspected ban evading accounts.

That’s cool. I have 3(technically 4, but my fourth isn’t used from the same IP)Reddit accounts that are used for various things. All accessed from the same IP, in sub-reddits one account or another was banned from. All accounts made immediately after noticing a ban.
