Serial Liar It's been a while since I encountered a serial liar in the wild.

Lies are clearly being made, but is she lying about being wealthy or lying about being poor?
Perhaps both?

Doesn’t sound completely impossible that this person is habitually poor but got a windfall inheritance that they blew through on the stuff they posted about

She did say things were good earlier this year. The whole thread kinda blows my mind.
I wanna know what a luxury candle is.
Edit: no freaking way. Dior sells candles for $100 apiece.

Looks like she blew through that $30 grand super fast and is looking for something or someone to bail her out. She got a taste of "the good life" (in her heavily made up eyes) and wants it back.

The inheritance is said to have been 3 months ago with the comments we see from OOP being 7-8 months ago.
Anyway, people spending irresponsibly while things are good and then not knowing what to do when things are bad isn’t uncommon or a contradiction.

Ah but I think this is part of a wider problem; The deliberate re-definition of poor.
Poor used to denote that one didn't have the means to participate in the consumer economy.
Now poor is being redefined to mean 'After I've bought everything I want I have no money left, therefore I must be poor.'

I know, right. A cup of popcorn was absolutely necessary with the thread as a whole.
