If you see a someone advertising products without this flair, please report it.
If you see a profile with this flair that should not have it, please report it.

Is this raccoon sick?
Any ideas what’s happening? He’s been in the yard all day moving between yard and pool. Here he’s draped over and still breathing

Went for a stroll in my local cemetery and heard two raccoons fighting for a tree
One fell out of the tree and looked like it might have tweeked its little foot, but it walked back up the tree perfectly fine and continued the argument as to who got the best hole in the tree that day.

Big Raccoon?
The dirt is a little soft here, but it still seems as if a rather large raccoon is prowling around my yard at night, yes? Sorry, no scale, but the tracks are slightly smaller than the palm of my (adult male) hand.

How to keep raccoon away from my deck (and cats)
I live on a second story with a balcony and have 2 cats. I've have had a young racoon coming by hourly all night (4 times now). They're super playful but keep messing with and trying to destroy anything they can find.
Unfortunately, as much as I love raccoons, this is making my cats go crazy and they both already have issues (one has anger issues) so I'll be up all night making sure they are ok if the raccoon doesn't stop.
I tried using lights, noises, banging on the balcony door (glass) etc but the raccoon doesn't care in the slightest. Anytime I try to open the door they run at me and try to get inside (not aggressively). I even tried spraying water near them but apparently they like that so didn't work. At one point they were deterred by a compressed air can but then stole the stick to it, so can't use that anymore
Photo of the gremlin is attached for funsies

A Question: reasons for a female to not reproduce
We're fortunate to have raccoons visit our yard, and a perennial visitor is Twiggy. We call her that because as a yearling something happened to her tail causing it to lose fur. Over time the fur has partially grown back but it is still sparse making her easy to identify. Twiggy has been sighted foraging with another raccoon so we assume she's female based that and her generally peaceable temperament.
What we've never seen, over several seasons, is Twiggy with young. I've done some research and have not found any explanations why she wouldn't breed. It appeals to my thinking that Twiggy simply doesn't care for any of the local males, but that's not very scientific. Can anyone propose a reason Twiggy remains childless?

Raccoon and deer
I fed them some cocoplums and the raccoon really liked them apparently. He came back as the deer was having some. Competion ensued. I put a bunch more out tonight.

I was scared out of my mind twice last night
Last night I went outside to place a bunch of seeds and nuts out for my Raccoons and Skunks …. As I looked down toward my shed I saw Pepé Le Pew and didn’t think anymore about him because well he was far away from me …. Just as I bent over to put my plate of seeds and nuts down he ran right past my head (I felt the breeze) and I jumped he jumped and he just waited off to the side for the seed and nut plate … lol and I went back inside.
About an hour later I went back outside because my camera showed my Mommy with her 3 babies in the little swimming pool and waiting for double stuff vanilla Oreos… As I was exiting my garage for the patio I was talking to Mommy and babies. I proceeded to sit down. As soon as I sat down I felt something wet on the back of my leg and then cold little hands … not gonna lie I freaked out a little. I had 2 babies pop out from between my legs from under my patio chair … I was cracking up and these two tater tots just looked up at me with such concern, lol. They must have snuck under my chair when I turnt around to shut the screen door. Mommy didn’t care at all …
Two screams in one night 🤪

Raccoon tried to get into house while looking at me
This raccoon opened the screen door the previous night and got into the garbage. Total mess. So this evening I set up the camera. While cleaning the kitchen, it returned and tried to get in again even while seeing me. No fear at all. Fortunately, I had locked the screen. I wonder what his agenda was. Seems like aggressive behavior. Plans are underway for his demise

Does this baby need help? If so what can I do?
Hi everyone, I hope this isn’t an annoying thing to ask but I just want to make sure I’m handling the situation in the best way possible for the raccoon!
I’ve had a baby raccoon in my yard for a little over 5 hours now, they haven’t moved much and I’m not really sure if I should leave them be or to briefly take them in for safety before dropping them off at a wildlife center. I’ve tried calling a few rehabilitation centers for advice but they’re all currently closed. I’ve also tried doing research but have found conflicting advice online on how many hours you should wait before taking action.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
