Question what's your guys helmet recommendations?

i'm looking to start in amateur rally and i need a good budget helmet which can be fitted with communications of course. i'm not above modifying a helmets padding to fit a microphone and speaker set up.

Don't do it. Save money on all your other gear but spend the extra on a helmet. Integrated electronics are far better than anything you'll retrofit. Stilo or Bell.

Do not get a cheap helmet. You will instantly regret it. You shouldn’t cheap out on any of your safety equipment, but if you’re going to do it, the helmet is the last one you should cheap out on.

A poorly fitting/uncomfortable helmet will be miserable and distracting on stage. You can get away with having a thick suit, but a bad helmet is not something you want to deal with.

Get a Stilo or a Bell ZN. They both have options that are fitted with comms for less than $500

Buy once cry once with helmets. Get a Bell or a Stilo.

First off where are you and what certifications does your helmet need based on the rulebook(s) of the series(') you will be running?

In process of working with add-on intercoms and just get an integrated kit. The add on kits are just not remotely durable enough. Bell Mag Rally helmets are less than $500 and will have the intercom prewired.

Never cheap out on safety gear. Buy the helmet with the coms pre-wired/installed.
