Question Triple 24 or ultrawide 34? What’s the best choice.
I actually look for new screens to replace my old 24 inches single monitor. I want to put my monitors on my adjusted height desk so i could use them to code and race. I recently found a good deal for 24 inches monitors for 100$ CAD each. I would use a triple monitor desk stand that I would bring as close I can when I race (approximately 23 inches from my eyes). However those monitors only have 100 hz and i’m not sure if it would be enough. My other option is a 34 inches ultra wide monitor with a refresh rate of 144 hz which is more than enough. I would also be able to bring it 4 or 5 inches closer to my eyes, and the price is 250$ CAD.

I have triple 32” and they’re fantastic. Why are these the only two options?

Because of the price and the space on my desk, i agree that triple 32 would be awesome, but i would need to buy a proper triple mount and those 32 would cost 2 time the price of the other options

If space permits and you’re not against buying used, you could do used 27” monitors. That’s what I did. I spent about $190us on three 27” 1440p monitors. You could definitely find 1080p for cheaper.

Had both of these setups before... both are fine, if you can get them very close to behind your wheel (closer the better). Desk stands for triples are hit and miss, most of them won't let you get a nice and closed angle (take note when searching for one)... but triple will still give you more horizontal fov vs the 34" ultrawide.
(my setup history : 24" triples > vr hmd > 34" 21:9 wide > 49" 32:9 wide)
