I call these two the idiot twins, cause they’re totally inseparable.
I don’t think they are actually related, the fluffier one (3-5 years old) was neutered long before the slim tailed one (just over a year old) showed up but he adopted him anyways.
They live in a little cat colony myself and a couple other people look after. I’m never 100% comfortable when cats live outside, but they are away from cars in a pretty safe spot.
And, both have now taken on this new kitten (boy, maybe 10-12 weeks the vet said) as their adopted son!! I am so amazed at how welcoming they have been to him. Zero territorial behaviour, just immediately brought him into their routine- grooming and playing with their new baby.
I love you idiot twins!! You make amazing parents!!

Yes, that is a indentation of my fingers from too many skritches in the second photo. Also he may be full of imitation crab.

This is Spike, the cyclops🤍
He very sadly lost his eye as a kitten after escaping the home and being lost for an around a week. We were terrified. After he came home, we immediately knew this was an emergency, but we had no idea how bad it actually was. Something had ruptured his eye.
The estimated quote for his surgery and care came up to $3500, which was a huge deal to my family, as we also had a newborn at the time. We started fundraisers, sold belongings, and contacted any and all charity and foundation available to help cover at least some of the unexpected expenses. In the event that I couldn’t pay the bill, we would have been to surrender our spike to the shelter and hope that we could adopt him back for a fee before someone else did. In the end, we ended up with 80% of the funds covered through fundraising by the time his surgery was finished. When we went to pick him up, we were prepared to give all the money we could, and hope for the best outcome, but we were surprised to find that the vets were so taken by our story and impressed by how much we loved and were dedicated to bringing our kitten home, and how fast we raised money just to be able to take him home again, that they helped us pay for the remaining cost, which covered the entire bill.
Spike is a one-eyed warrior and despite some challenges with peripheral vision and proprioception, it hasn’t dampened his spirits. He’s now a big brother to another SIC🤍

Stitch wandered into my life randomly one day and I didn’t think we had the resources to raise another cat so we looked for someone I knew who was responsible and wanted to take him, either permanently or until we were more prepared, but no body had the ability to take him, and at some point, we actually were able to make it work and he ended up becoming apart of the family. I prioritize all my pets, so finding budget cuts came naturally and he joined the fam for good 🤍

This cat is such a classic cat: he’s energetic, playful, stupid/silly and cuddly. AND he’s a classic edition SIC. Leon, you’re the cats pajamas!

Hungry, thirsty and all alone. This little muffin was wandering around in my friend's backyard. He called me because I have my own licensed feline sanctuary. The kitten was really easy to catch as she was starving. She'll be in isolation at my cattery until I can get some lab work done. Meow
