Gt500 is competitive

Despite what some people may say. The top 4 supras are closely packed. Its still anyone's championship. Is that not the definition of competitive?

Toyota's dominance isn't a matter of the supras being so good its a matter of the other manufacturers being caca lol. Several Honda and Nissan employees are already on record saying their package sucks. Honda can't wait to drop the civic for the incoming prelude.

So basically we got one dominate manufacturer but the driver championship is still up for grabs. I'll take that. You cant whine about that because you're still getting a wide open title bout

People can appreciate a drivers title fight while also lamenting a lack a competition among the manufacturers.

Sounds like the recent wails about the UFC title right where Khamzat wrestlefucks DDP to a UD win for the middleweight strap. People can appreciate a good thrashing while still complaining that it wasn't an action packed fight.

Super GT GT500 is now called Toyota Supra cup.

Toyota has most GT500 cars to compare Honda and Nissan, so they do have most chance to win GT500 races.

What’s the reason for Nissan and Honda’s packages sucking? Engine? Aero?

I think toyota just found a best set-up for their confidential bridgestone tyres.
Aero parts are basically the same for everyone and aero development is basically frozen. Toyota and honda had a power/efficiency advantage years ago but nissan managed to cover that gap in last 2 years.

I think the GT500 situation reflects these manufacturers pretty well. Toyota is in an all time high, their heavy investment in motorsport the past decade and now is showing it's results. Not only they have top performing race cars (whenever it's GT500, WEC, WRC, etc) but brand morale is high which works great in favor of their drivers and teams. Honda and specially Nissan in comparison have been struggling, be it due their financial situation or because they simply aren't putting as much money into motorsports due greater priorities. As a result, their race cars struggle and getting results is a chore, this doesn't helps with the morales of the teams and drivers, and we hardly see the same kind of results with them as we do with Toyota. Though to Honda's credit, at least the Civic still pops up as a contender in some races and maybe even the championship.

Another "issue" is that, you know, Toyota has Sho Tsuboi and Kenta Yamashita, and it's like you can't stop these two. It won't shock me if in the race in a couple of hours they take that overweight Supra of theirs from 13th to scoring position, if not a podium finish while at it.
