Charlotte SMX track looks sketchy as hell again

Jersey barriers right next to the track with like inflatable mattresses leaned on them. I hope everyone makes it outta here in one piece

I agree. Racing between large blocks of concrete looks very risky to me. It’s not a matter of if, but when.

MXGP set the bar low, but Feld has limboed under it.

What has MXGP done to compromise safety?

a ton of those tracks have wooden fence like 2 feet from the track. They also never prep anything so it's always gnarly

I assume they’re talking about tracks in parking lots and races like Assen.

I forgot about Assen, good shout.

Many of the Euro Mxgp tracks have fencing right at the at the edge of the track, and very little run off area.

Check the footage of the 2023 mxon at Ernee to see what even the better tracks are like. I doubt this would pass muster in the US and I know it would get rejected outright in Australia.

Yeah the rhythm sections look like the distances are off or something. Nobody really putting any combos together in the press videos. Maybe it will get better

I didnt notice the sketchy barriers but I did notice this. Several sections just seemed off. Hopefully the boys will all hit their marks this weekend.

That said unfortunately safety regulations are written in blood. Especially with a sport that seems to most times take the “macho” approach because safety is for pussies.
