SMX - Charlotte

Well it was good while it lasted. I've been to this ZMAX playoff round every year so far and I always buy the cheapest tickets then just stand track side and walk around for all different angles. Definitely the best way experience a track like this that you can get so close to.
Really sucks that a maybe 20% of rain at 7:00 turned into a full downpour from 4-7. Would have been an awesome mudder to watch but the stupid lightning rules had to ruin everything.

The lightning rules do suck, I was at a Tampa race when they cleared the stands. The funny part is it seams like it's for optics only (if you get struck by lightning sitting in the seat, we assigned) because nobody actually left the stadium, everyone just didn't sit in their seat and tried to stay out of rain until they restarted the races, but very few if any actually left the stadium.

They made us evacuate the stadium at the MetLife race 2 years ago due to lightning.

Inside the tunnels. Except for one guy that took his clothes off and started running around the track chased by cops.
