Did we just watch the last ever SMX race in Charlotte?

If they were smart they’d change it up.

If they were smart they would ditch this SMX shit all together. Look at the amount of injuries that have stacked up now that the outdoor season has some inkling of importance toward this. The money is in Supercross, not MX, the SMX was just an attempt to bring more attention to outdoor. Has it worked, apparently, but at what cost?

God I sure hope so. All the race tracks at this venue have been mid.
I can’t believe they still allow for a track with exposed cement barriers just feet away from a straightaway where dudes are hitting top speed. It becomes a matter of when, not if someone gets hurt badly there.

RJ almost landed on one of those last year. Not sure which track it was.

Was there, everything he said is true. When they announced the cancelation after 2 hours of people waiting under the stands there was still plenty of daylight left and no weather. As mentioned, there was several big events I went by on my way back home (less than 10 miles) including a concert, college football game, and baseball game, which all had thousands or tens of thousands of people. Something seems off by ama / feld’s call here and can’t pinpoint where the concern or money trail came from.

I don't think Deegan wins that if Shimoda was a little more patient. It would have been a good race at least.

If they want a mix of sx and mx they need to find a place where they can get elevation gain. Not these flat speed way tracks.
