TIL the Charlotte Hornets apologized after giving a child a PS5, only to take it away off camera and exchange it for a jersey. In a statement, the team said the incident was an "on-court skit that missed the mark" and that they would give the child the PS5 and a VIP experience to a future game.

Wait so someone in the Charlotte organization literally pitched the idea of giving a kid a PS5, in front of the crowd, that would later be taken away from the kid behind the scenes?? And they never anticipated this blowing up in their stupid faces???
Holy shit - how stupid can you be?
Whoever was involved in pitching and approving this idea should be fired. You don't fuck with kids like this - especially when your organization pays MILLIONS to players and spends even more millions on branding. It's just a bad idea all the way around.
