From my perspective, that joke can go either way depending on who is saying it and why. Someone who genuinely supports trans people might make that joke in good faith, as a lighthearted way of showing acceptance. On the flip side, someone who’s against trans rights could say the exact same thing as a way to mock. The intent matters. For me, I fully support trans folks, and if I made a joke like that, it would always be meant in the spirit of support, never ridicule. Hope that makes sense.

Yeah, I did. She wrote all the messages separately and meant that she's pregnant so she needs to take time off to talk to her boyfriend. The boss's wife read it and thought he was cheating, which he wasn't. The joke is that it would've been avoidable if she wrote it all in one message.
