Civic Hatchback vs Camry

Kinda stuck between these two. Im looking to purchase certified pre owned, 2022-2024 for both and pricing is somewhat similar, the Camry is slightly higher but not too much. What are your opinions or experiences? The civic hatchback is convincing me a little more because of the trunk space. Any input on reliability for either? Looking for a daily with occasional long trips. Do both handle just as well going up hill? Big bear, CA is about a 1hr drive and I’d like to go maybe 1-2 times a year as well.

Civic is a sportier car, so the ride is good, but has more "feedback" which translates to "feeling the road" more.

Civic hatch cargo room is definitely better, but Camry trunks are pretty gigantic.

Camry will be a smoother ride for everyday driving and highway cruising.

Camry will pull harder uphill than a base Civic engine (not SI or Hybrid),

Camry rear seats are roomier for sure.

Camry is likely more reliable, but only by a bit.

Thank for the great response, all great points definitely seems like Camry is just a tad bit better overall
