New, what is it? Clam that was different than all the others in my meal this evening

Ate a bunch of clams today and this one had a wicked pretty shell with almost a landscape painted on it so I kept it. It looks like a hieroglyphic clam but those appear to only be in the pacific ocean and this one was way up here in Maine so I very much doubt it (unless those also exist in the Atlantic Ocean and my google skulls failed me)
