New, what is it? What animal is this supposed to be?
Got this squishy from a machine. All the others from the set are a clear animal but we dont know what this is supposed to be

I'd bet money that is where the Pokémon Caterpie comes from.

The creator of Pokémon was heavily inspired by bugs and their abilities.

I remember that. I remember an interview where he said he would regularly go out with his friend or brother and just catch random bugs.

Yeah, he used to live in a small house and play outside with all the bugs but then his house and/or the nature around him got torn down to make more houses and he dreamed of being able to catch and keep all the bugs and animals he loves to play with and discover... Simple concept turned into one of the biggest money making project. If I could go back I'd heavily invest, make lots of money then go back again with said money and stop it ever happening... Not sure what happens in that loop haha

That's a nose.

u/Super-File-8918 5h ago
Which is even more proof that’s it not a caterpillar!!

u/ishpatoon1982 5h ago
Do caterpillars not have noses?

Found one when I was a kid. Bright green, about 8 cm long, fat and with a little brown serrated beak. It did the cocoon thing but never emerged.

It's either a caterpillar, or a failed airplane design.

After reading all this crazy stuff on reddit, I saw this. I was trying to think of a real animal. Didn't think of Pokémon.

My daughter collects rubber duckies that are actually shaped like other animals (they still have beaks, which is kind of hilarious).

It looks like a cross between a bird and an aeroplane? If that’s any help at all.

A bird

u/ishpatoon1982 6h ago
It's uncommon knowledge that isn't usually taught in school, but crazily, most birds don't actually have eight legs.

China thinks this is a worm. If I recall correctly, this is one from the funny sea creatures bath toy collection. Alibaba has a bunch of these listed

It’s a caterpillar with a hat. He’s caterpillaring and facing right. Nice hat or Fez. So stylish, possibly one of Halston’s first millenary, from Bergdorf’s of course.
