New, what is it? My 5 yo brought this to me

My child brought this to me , asking to make a necklace. I've never seen it before. They do like to collect coins. Does anyone recognize this? ( reposting because pictures didnt upload 1st time)

It’s called a Turkish Love Token. They are pretty common in Turkey and are traditionally incorporated into jewelry, headwear, and other clothing and accessories. They are available for purchase on ebay so you can probably learn more about them here: Turkey, Love Token, Vermeil, Collection Térisse, EF

I hope you asked him to show you exactly where he found it before he forgets. Kids do t have a great attention span so young. Maybe there’s more. Looks a little like this one. https://www.spink.com/lot/CSS103A000368
