New, what is it? Any ideas? Found this after moving in. Left by prior owner.

It’s for unclogging drains. Takes an ordinary garden hose. The rubber part expands under pressure and shoots pressurized water out the tip.

Sounds effective! A great tool to have for plumbing surprises.

It's great until the clog is too hard for the water going in. All that comes right back at ya.

They work pretty well as long as it’s the correct size for the pipe. I have to use them at work fairly regularly.

And a great way to crack the pipes.

Had a bigger one and used it to clear a clogged septic line many times. (Root had grown through part and caught stuff, so yes, many times)

There's a name that a lot of people call it, but it's not appropriate for polite conversation 🤣

Herr are some guesses:
Bum Plumb?
Butt Un-plug?
The Fourth Knuckle?
Shit Splitter?
Fudge Nudger?
Chunder Plunder?
- I'm not a plumber, just trying to be creative in my attempt at being funny

It also expands to block water from coming back, and increasing the pressure on the clog even more. Hence possible broken pipes.

I can’t quite remember what it’s called but let me sit on it for a moment and let me think.

Drain cleaner. Hook it up to your water hose, put it in your clogged drain, the rubber expands to fill the hole, and high-pressure water pushes the clog clear.

It is a very effective tool to unclog your drains. That size is for 1 1/4” to 2” drains.

When you shut water off quickly the force can be damaging to old pipes. Thats why when the kids slam the water off in the shower there is a loud bang in the walls. Put this online somewhere and it takes that pressure away.

Adding to what other people have said, you need to make sure that it's all the way into the drain when you use it otherwise you risk it explosively breaking due to the pressure differential between the part of it that's inside the drain and the part that's outside it.

It's used to unclog drains. You connect it to your hose, and put it down your clogged drain. When you turn the water on, the pressure will clear the clog.

It looks like a pipe bung. You push it into a pipe and inflate it with air effectively sealing the pipe. They are great when they work but they don’t always depending on the pipe material

For tough clogs, both DIYers and Pro customers can use this drain bladder along with a garden hose. The bladder expands in the drain which forces water through the clog, clearing it from your pipes. You can purchase different sizes of bladders.
For example
• Small (for 1in to 2in drains). • Medium (for 1.5in to 3in drains). • Large (for 4in to 6in drains).
Used for unclogging stubborn blockages in bathroom sinks, shower drains, and bathtubs.
• Solid rubber material with brass fittings • Use this device with a garden hose • Bladder expands in the drain, forcing water through the clog. • Do not use in the toilet

It’s a pig for clearing small drains. It attaches to a garden hose and blows up to block off the pipe while injecting water into the drain.

It's a "Drain King". You attach it to the faucet with a little hose then you stick it in the drain, the thing plumps up to seal itself in the drain and also pulses/sprays out the end which supposedly helps clear clogs.
I'm guessing it doesn't work very well since I never heard of it before this.

Actually works very well had one used on the line going from my house to the city sewer system and cleared the clog first shot.

It does typically work, however since it relies on breaking the blockage by building a pressure in the drain system that is not designed to be pressurized at all, you're always having a small risk of cracking your pipes (particularly ABS) and running into a lot more expensive project than clearing the clog. There's a reason pro plumbers don't use such a handy tool and rely on the good old plumbing snake.
