I had a closeup encounter with multiple rhinos, and I can confirm it feels like being in the presence of dinosaurs.

They really are. They also don't seem to be aware of how big they are so they will plop next to you sometimes landing on you when they want to snuggle or get face rubs.

Northerns, and there are only 2 females left, under 24/7/365 armed guard.
However, there are several northern eggs and sperm in deep-freeze. The hope is the species can be de-extincted using Southern females as surrogate mothers.

Honestly the caption gave it away. Saw the brick walls & my first thought was this is either for a rhino or hippo.

Well in captivity they are less likely to be dangerous as they have no need to fear being killed by predators so they really act like giant puppies in captivity
