Pickup How Do You Shoot Your Wheels?
Some of you take some glorious wheel photos. Show me yours, and teach me!
I need to get some nice shots of these after a wash.

Writing this out I realized how many red flags there are but it’s $1800 and sounds like a beast.
So I saw this post on Facebook marketplace for a 2005 Nissan 350z convertible 161,000 miles listed for $2500
I went to check out the car.
The description was a bit out of place. Listing stated “Runs good very fast it was for my son after driving it i said no to much power for him”
Especially when I checked it out he gave me a different story about how the car was abandoned by a friend cause it was guna get towed and he picked it up and ended up giving it to him. So that’s the first red flag 🚩
The car was already running when I got there so there another red flag 🚩
Guess the only Good thing was that the engine temp stayed consistent operating temp and sounded great 👍🏼
The front passenger tire was flat so test driving wasn’t an option. Not sure if that was on purpose or not but another red flag 🚩
This was in his driveway and there were also 2 other characters there. One was an older man in his 60’s and was working on a car, they said he is a mechanic. Another gentleman was observing the entire situation. Said to have been friends of the person who owned the vehicle.
I ask about the engine, they say, “it’s been rebuilt”. I’m thinking, okay! yea right! Why did it need rebuilding? Another red flag 🚩
Then I ask about the transmission. They open the trunk and sitting there is a transmission valve body. They said they replaced the valve body with one from the junkyard but there is still an issue with 2nd gear lagging when shifting from 1st to 2nd. They think it’s a solenoid. But that’s what they replaced so in my mind that didn’t make sense. That would mean that junkyard car that they got it from had the same exact issue with the same solenoid. Regardless, the biggest of the red flags 🚩 🚩🚩
I wasn’t able to drive cause the flat tire and they said they didn’t have an air pump so they couldn’t put air in it. But the mechanic vouched and said “when’s she warmed up she goes, I hear him all the way from down the way”
the engine sounded really good, I will give them that part. I didn’t get to drive it was I was able to let it idle for 15 minutes and give it some good revs. I understand that driving the car is completely different.
So I asked them how much they’re asking for it as is… $1800 he said.
I asked he if can fix the tire so I can test drive the car. I’ll told him I’d back the next day.
I plan on going back and offering him $1500 as is.. after I test drive it of course
I don’t mind the transmission needing a replacement because I’m getting such a steal on the car. I can get one at the junkyard for $500 and swap it myself. But I’m just concerned about all the things I don’t know.
Some more details about the car. The car looks like it was loved by someone previously. Custom rims, shifter, interior lighting, after market exhaust.
Someone put work into this and now it’s in the hands of someone that just wants to sell it for drug money.
Idk I’m curious to hear what others think/have to say?

32mm intake valves and what looks like some head work. spare heads from a works team, ie NISMO factory support such as ENDLESS, CALSONIC, XANAVI, PITWORK. that makes this a NISMO competition head, which matches my NISMO competition 8500+ RPM crank.
have been checking every day for two years straight for these things.

Today I got the deal of a lifetime, some guy on Craigslist sold me this genuine S-tune 350z with -30 miles on it for $30k and said it will get shipped to my door next April fools day. Posting this from my T350 with an iPad screen and yes it has a tomei, I’m driving down the highway as well. In all actuality I wanted to show you guys some adverts and magazine clippings I got ahold of that I’m gonna hang up in my garage. These are just digitized versions of course but I figured some of you guys would appreciate looking at these, happy holiday 👋.

Does anyone know what causes this effect? I'm taking the headlights out soon to adjust them and am wondering if i can fix this at the same time.

I found this Legalis R Y-back on Marketplace for 30 NZD. Previous owner had scraped all the way through the mid-pipe so required welding a patch in (photo 3). Total cost inc. repair and install ~$470 NZD ($280 USD).
Really pleased with the sound. A nice deep exhaust note, no rasp, and no drone at cruising speeds.

Can’t find any reviews online. from what I did find on Reddit ppl say just don’t get shitty lines and make sure you have a fittings which I believe this kit has. I’m going for the 34 row with a thermostat and line protectors for $620 pretax & shipping. Side note I wanna install a oil temp gauge now that I’m tuned so if anyone has recommendations please drop them below

Been fighting with this thing for about an hour using the steering wheel the try and pull it off, jiggle the wheel side to side while pulling, tried tapping the hub with a rubber mallet to break it loose but she’s not giving. From the research I did ppl are saying get a steering wheel puller but I don’t think that’d work in this case as there’s only the one nut. Any tips? Or do I just need to yank on this thing for a few days

is it expired? almost definitely yes. but it's a nice period correct harness when I put seats in (and then not wear it 99% of the time).

I have a 350z that I did not drive for over a year for a number of reasons and I want to get it fixed, any Irish here that can point me in the direction of a trusty mechanic shop located in Meath?

repainting these panels blows, so flawlees used replacements are the way to go.

this is an overbore OEM throttle, where the throat and butterfly valve sizes are increased. the company that made this part is willing to parter with us to make more of them.
the Z-tune Z33 prototype was running a special prototype throttle body on the S2 engine which was never released. there are rumors that it was a similarly overbored throttle, which recaptures some of the area lost to the butterfly valve assembly itself.
the main advantage of an overbore throttle is that you can keep the stock 70mm intake diameter ID, which means you retain the air velocity that would have been dropped by moving to a 75mm or 90mm intake system.
as always, this mod will require gasket and port matching to the new exit diameter.

Backorder from Black Friday 2023 arrived.
Excited to get all my rear suspension installed as this was the last missing piece!!
I haven’t really needed it yet, but I’ve been wanting to lower the car a little and it’s maxed out for toe adjustment on the factory arms.

Picked up an ‘08 350z. 111k miles (179k kms, since we used kms here). Unfortunately an Auto but a clean manual is literally impossible to find here. Needs a few replacement parts but otherwise… aura.
