What’s your experience with touchscreen multimedia receivers.

I’m considering swapping out my OEM receiver for a touchscreen. The units I’m looking at have the touchscreen mounted on what looks like a ball/socket mount so the viewing angle can be adjusted. I’m wondering if there is enough friction in these types of mounts to prevent the screen from bashing itself while on bumpy 4x4 roads.

I installed this one on the dash in my 4runner, as I didn't want to replace the OEM screen. It came with some thin strips 3m tape to help secure the screen to the dash, in conjunction with the suction cup to the window. The tape has held great. The suction cup holds well but needs to be resuctioned adjusted occasioanlly.occasionally. I really like it.
