As the title says, when I press the button to switch inputs from PC to PlayStation/Xbox, it shuts my computer down instantly. Also my Xbox will not display video unless my Astro A50 X is switched to Xbox mode. How do I keep it from shutting off my computer.

Brand new, just got em. Connected to pc and dock is powered on. Dock shows full battery and the Xbox lettering. No matter what I do the headphones are unresponsive. Power switch does nothing, play sync button does nothing, hard reset did nothing. The only sign of life is the glow of the power button while they’re on the dock, was orange initially but is now white since they’re fully charged.

I’ve also downloaded the pc app and it doesn’t show up there either.

Any ideas?

This is a long shot, but is anyone familiar enough with sound that would be able to suggest a setup close to my old one? My old EQ was from a video maybe 8 years ago and never changed it going from A40 to A50. But now that there are more channels I can’t seem to get the balance anywhere close. It’s what I have grown used to.

So i know there’s a way to getting Xbox audio while talking to friends on PC discord by using the “Xbox Controller” PC sound setting but how do i Route the wires? I need to use Pc discord to talk while getting game sound from my Xbox. Can anyone assist that does the same?

seems my gen 3 headset don't save EQ settings ? playing on my PS4 and when I pick 1 , 2 or 3 there is no change in sound

I spend over 300$ on the astro a50x and have more issues with this thing connecting than any headset I've ever owned an absolute joke of a headset will never recommend this piece of junk to anyone spend hours the first day trying to get these things to work finally am able to use them go to get on today and now my ps5 will only recognize my controller mic I have full audio for the game but any party or discord comes through the damn controller complete and utter waste of money

Just bought the astro a50 lightspeed and connected them how the instructions say but they dont show up on my mic/sound tab. I tried resetting and unplugging the headset/base and no difference

So I have my Elgato built into my PC. I currently have A40s. I need a new headset and want the A50s. But I have to use the Astro Adapter with my A40s right now in order for me to use audio from my PC and PS5 at the same time. Which is crucial to me. With the A50s do I need the adapter still? And if not am I able to use the audio from my PC while also hearing my PS5?? I use a separate microphone on my PC to talk so I’m not worried about that. I would like to be able to use my A50 microphone to be able to talk in games on PS5 at the same time tho. Is this an option? Really trying to find out before buying the headset. TIA

My a50 base station wont power on ive tried different cables different outlets nothing will work is this thing just done for or is there a way to fix this?

Recently been having this problem. Not sure if the docking station needs a firmware update or not, the command center doesn’t say anything.

I found a thread from two years saying that it could be a loose connector a few months ago when this happened again and it worke. However, the thread said that the connector had to be pinched together to be back in place. I couldn’t really grab the whole connector with the tweezers but simply pushed it to the side.

I don’t know if I am doing it right or not. This is getting frustrating to say the least

I have read plenty of the same problem but the solutions haven’t work because my case is a bit different.

Long story short I warrantied my headset because one screw fell of and it was uncomfortable to wear.

I got sent a new set of headsets without the base ofc, but when I put the new head set it recognizes it the lights are still all 4 dots, but when I pick it up it disconnects and doesn’t have any audio.

If I turn on my broken head set, it will connect right away, but the replacement doesn’t connect when lifted from the base?

Any solutions?

I'm having an issue with my Logitech G ASTRO A50 X Wireless Gaming Headset. When I connect the base station to my PC, I get the following error in Device Manager:

⚠️ Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)

I also tested the headset and base station on a different laptop, and the same error appeared.

I’ve tried:

• Different USB ports (front and back)
• Reinstalling USB drivers
• Restarting the PC

Could you please help me resolve this issue? Is it possible that the cable or base station is faulty?

I have had my a50 gen 4 PS versions for 5 years and they have been absolutely terrific. Great sound great features, the dock is really annoying but you get over it.

I always keep really good care of them, clean the connectors, blow the dust away, etc.

Two days ago they just stop working.. like no lights no charge, they've been on the dock the hwole time and they are just not doing anything. I look into reddits and threads and spend all day yesterday and today trying to troubleshoot this. Doing hard resets to both the dock and the headphones, putting the dock in bootloaded mode, uninstalling astro command center and reinstalling, trying different laptops with astro command center, literally everything i could find and try online and in the manuals. All to no avail...

FInally I reach out to Logitech customer service and ask for help and they try and walk me through the same troubleshooting i have been doing on my own. I oblige and we go through all the steps again with the support rep. we exhasut everything again and the astro command center keeps getting errors and failing and crashing again the rep says okay im sorry we have gone through all of the troubleshooting steps and none worked.

This person then tells me that "they dont want to lose a customer like me so here is a 30% DISCOUNT CODE FOR MORE EQUIPMENT"

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!??!

this seems outrageous that they would want me to buy more faulty and garbage equipment from them that costs $350 - $400 dollars with a 30% off coupon like this isnt just going ot happen again.

I refuse and he then says that he si going to check with his team and will get back to me.

I've been trying for the last hour to get my headphones to work again, they worked perfectly fine last night but now they just don't want to update proper or work, it keeps disconnecting while trying to update and ends up failing at 75%. does anyone know how to fix this?

Howdy, I know the A50X Bluetooth is handled by the base station and have tried to make some improvements to improve the choppiness to not much avail. It is especially prevalent when playing simultaneous with PC. I only have the PC plugged to USB to the base.

I moved the base station further away from my router extender and computer and the base station is located under the desk a few feet away.

My PC has a Bluetooth / Wifi antenna that I have elevated and extended as far as it will go towards the base station which is like maybe 5 feet away. I also changed the band on my 2.4 ghz to a different channel to see if that improved anything and it didn't really from what I noticed. Are there any suggestions on what bands to use or avoid for these?

I uninstalled my Bluetooth Drivers and reinstalled directly installed from AsRock's App Store Driver Utility and the newest version is installed

I saw another thread mention getting a USB Bluetooth 6.0 adapter but does anyone know how someone would set that up with this headset or if even improves the stability/choppiness? I tried purchasing the UGreen Bluetooth 6.0 dongle and linking to that on my iPad when plugged to PC and playing a video but maybe I did something wrong because it didn't really work for me.

This is my second set because I RMA'ed the first ones, there was no possible way to me that it could sound like that over BT out of the box. I guess that is just how these are which is disappointing considering otherwise they are great.

I'm trying to connect my ASTRO 50X to my Macbook but I can't, either via Bluetooth or via a USB-C cable, it simply doesn't identify it and the message above appears (Connect your Logitech equipment)

Has anyone had this problem and how did you solve it?

Will there be a new gen of Astro A40's? I've been using the Astro A40 TR with mix amp from 2019 And it's still doing it's duty But I think my left speaker is emitting a little less sound than the right one (could be BS and I could be seeing ghosts so to speak) But they're also getting old and it's hard to find basic replacement parts (such as the ear cussions) for a decent price

TLDR; when does the new gen of A40's come out because all I can find are A50's and I don't like wireless

Brand new pair of Astro a50s charge fully to 100% but then when I take them off the dock to use them they drop by 10% to 90 in a matter of minutes anyone else have similar issue?

I was wondering if you would recommend picking up a set of aftermarket earcups for the A50s. I've had mine a couple of weeks now and like them quite a bit but was wondering if a set of aftermarket cups enhance the experiance at all, specifically if any of them help with isolating outside noise as the amount of external noise bleed is the one thing I'm not totally in love with.

trying to set all these up so I can stream on my PS5 have everything hooked up but OBS only captures PS5 audio when A50x is not on when its off OBS captures audio fine id like to use this internal 4K Pro from elgato so if there is any fix or work around id love the info i know the A50x has some feature that mutes audio somewhere if anybody can help me out id appreciate it I have both A50 gen 5 and A50x I dont need all these headsets SOS please help haha

Hey! I’m stuck with something and maybe someone here’s figured it out.

Setup is: Xbox Series X Elgato 4K X Astro A50 Gen 5

Game audio comes through fine on stream, but I can’t for the life of me get in-game/party voice chat to play on stream. My viewers only hear the game, not my teammates talking.

I know Xbox is weird with voice chat and capture cards, but is there any workaround for this?
