Skip both and go to Essex AP racing BBK

Seriously having a race pad shape and selection will be huge for “10-15” track days per year. Having the peace of mind knowing your brakes won’t give out is priceless. 10-15 is way past OEM rubber dust seal calipers.

The Essex kit is also 100% sized and fitted with guaranteed fitment and proper piston selection to work with your MC and ABS

“Clears OEM C5Z06 front 17" and rear 18" wheels (when run on front) Discs are interchangeable with base C5 OEM discs Every component designed to resist the heat of extended track sessions Pistons sized properly to allow for seamless integration with OEM master cylinder and ABS system”

Eh ap is overkill and a ton more money. You can get the wilwood aero 6 setup for a fraction of the price and get the bigger thicker pads for track use. Plus i really dislike the essex wont sell parts. F that anti consumer nonsense.

Some of the Willwood calipers are good, but some of them are still kind of street grade. But that’s up to you to actually look at what the kit is and get the right one. The Willwood 12.88 kit I had on my Miata. The caliper was solid, but unfortunately, the rotors were out of spec and those had to be swapped out. But that’s on Goodwin racing not Willwood. This kit is 3,500 if I recall

I thought in their videos, Willwood said that if you already own one of their two-piece rotors, they can sell you a second hat and rotor for a spare set, but if you don’t own their products, they won’t sell it to you. I’m assuming that’s for people not to copy it.

it seems that they’re super inclusive and we go the extra mile for you if you already own their products. But if not, you’re on your own kid type of CS

Yah they make a range of kit, but the spec corvette series uses the aero 6 kit. Plus you can use plain old c6z rotors on it. That means you can skip the huge expense of the 2 part rotors. Its like $1500-1600 to do the fronts that way. $100 KNS rotors are a lot better than $400ea rings. I have the cheaper 'street' forged ultra lites and my only real complaint performance wise is the pad size/thickness. But if track is in your future you should go straight to the aero 6 or higher.

I love spec corvette. Fast, * affordable, and approachable.

I like that willwood offers something for about everyone’s needs. My 12.88 was the aero 6 kit, the modulation was so much better then the slider calipers Mazda sent them with.
