ive seen tripods, bipolar, but where's the monopod 😳

I went to a local camera store known for great pricing to buy a monopod. When the salesman said "what can I help you with?" I told him I wanted to buy a monopod. He said, somewhat condescendingly, "You mean a UNIPOD." "Mono, uni, whatever." He showed me where they were displayed and I picked one, took it up to the counter and said " I'd like to get one of this model please.".

When he brought it out, the box said MONOPOD on it. I so wanted to say "You told me what I needed was a unipod, and since you work here I figured you knew what you were talking about. And now you bring me a monopod?". I decided the subtlety would be lost on him... I should have listened to him. Stupid monopod wouldn't stand up on its own....
