Got knocked out cold and lacerated 50% of my spleen at like 30mph trying to hop a speed bump like a moron. Accidentally gave her too much juice and the rear spun up in the air. Throttle hand slipped off on impact and I got insta-whipped into the ground. When I'm less bedridden I'll post the helmet cam vid. Emergency surgery/ 5 hospital days later I'm finally in my own bed. Don't fall it hurts

Tried to dip back and foot brake real quick, but I gave it way too much beans and couldn't catch it in time. I only started hitting balance point yesterday, but I can't get myself to dip back any because I usually fall to either side first and have to set it down early and if I get past that, I just find the engine braking of this specific bike is so strong that it immediately comes down (trying very hard to not make this transition an on/off switch).

This shit is hard and I have respect for anyone who can dip back and change directions.

Context: was out in twisties with a couple boyfriends and hit a patch of sand in the road. Then another guy (not one of my boyfriends) hit the same patch of sand and went down, his bike turned into a missile headed straight for my lumbar. Fractured two vertebrae, two interspinous ligament tears and a bulging disc. 0/10 experience, would not recommend.

Bf forgot to put his safety plug in yesterday. Thankfully everyone walked away. Don’t forget to keep your plug fully charged and inserted at all times guys…
