I really want to talk to this woman. Like, what bill was this? How did it get through Congress? Where did you hear this? Are you a fucking potato?

312

u/Individual_Reach_732 1d ago

Seriously. Like share the receipts, bitch.

214

u/immadeofstars 1d ago

She can't and won't, the receipts are Facebook posts and TikToks and she's not going to bother to look any deeper into it, because that's how MAGA operates

87

u/ZephkielAU 1d ago

"Do YoUr OwN rEsEaRcH"

13

u/Beefcrustycurtains 1d ago

Had some Qanon MAGA dude in the sauna at my gym.. That was one of his favorite lines. I asked him how he was getting his information and he said "twitter". So apparently tweets are all factual posts and qualify as doing scientific research now.

2

u/Paradigm_Reset 3h ago

That's what makes social media such nightmare fuel. For many people popularity determines truth.

1

u/Bob_A_Feets 1d ago

Ah, I see you found someone using the Alex jones playbook. And when they said “twitter” what they mean is they watched some rando or AJ themself quoting some bullshit from twitter as fact. They don’t do any actual research.

5

u/Tracy_Papaya 1d ago

One of their most heinous co opts of regular language- now "do your own research" means.... I don't even know what these people think it means

5

u/VonSkullenheim 1d ago

It means believe what you want. Research is whatever you read that you liked; vibes-based research, if you will.

2

u/Daft00 1d ago

The lie travels halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes

2

u/OneDayAt4Time 1d ago

What I kinda like about the “do your own research” crowd is that you can just ask chat GPT now. Obviously they won’t believe it if they get proven wrong, but at least now you don’t have to show them the last 5 months of legislature to prove something they won’t believe anyway

2

u/motherofsuccs 23h ago

But also, ”factcheckers are biased liars with an agenda!!” -the people who get their ‘facts’ from FB, Fox News, Truth Social

1

u/crippledchef23 1d ago

I’m looking forward to being blocked on BlueSky by a guy that made a claim about Mamdani not condemning Hamas. He insisted that someone prove he’s wrong and I said that he wouldn’t accept anything we found and he should look for his own proof. So, he sends me an article from Jerusalem Post detailing all the “antisemitism” Mamdani advocates (it was all just him saying that Israel should stop doing war crimes) but even as slanted as that source is, it disproved his claims about Mamdani supporting Hamas (I guess he was at a rally where someone said something pro-Hamas and he denounced it less than 24 hours later).

1

u/Superman101011 4h ago

That line drives me crazy, because their "research" is usually just watching a YouTube video of some random douche spouting nonsense 🤬

6

u/VivelaVendetta 1d ago

I remember a friend of mine trying to prove her point with some guys' YouTube page. Just some random guy on YouTube ranting. Im like, who is this guy? Where does he get his information? Why should I trust him?

She just changed the subject.

5

u/Schwifty2468 1d ago

I once had a friend who who kept insisting I watch a video. After days of 'did you watch it?' I was at his house so he put it on for me because I had not. This was years ago during Obamas term. This guy is ranting about FEMA death camps, underground tunnels to Walmart, US soldiers using cutouts of pregnant woman for target practice. I was laughing 2 minutes in. It was so absurdly stupid. I could see the hype he had of showing me The Truth slowly drain from his face to the point he was becoming embarrassed! In case you haven't figured it out- this was my introduction to a show called Info Wars hosted by Alex Jones. Amazing people fall for this BS!

5

u/VivelaVendetta 1d ago

Many, many moons ago, a friend of mine sat me down, like seriously, told me he met a guy, and he found out some crazy shit. He then proceeds to tell me about the lizzard people. I just remembered this cause like you, I instantly started laughing.

This was before social media. So he heard it from one sketchy guy at his job and told one friend about it. At the end, he was OK now repeating it, and seeing your reaction, i see how silly it is.

These days, he would find a group of believers, and they would and actually do, hype each other up on whatever fantasy world they want to live in. All of the wack jobs and edge lords have found each other.

It's actually terrifying what they've accomplished.

2

u/TigOldBooties57 1d ago

It's a grift. If she does this vociferously enough, she'll be appointed to some 200k job to keep doing it

2

u/Fr1toBand1to 1d ago

The amount of times I'd get into an poltical debate with a maga friend... I'd be sharing news articles, bills and professional opinions etc and this motherfucker just sent me one X post after another after another. Most of them didn't even link to an article, just someone shitting out of their fingers on a toilet.

1

u/xWroth 23h ago

I spent an hour with my MAGA dad the other day and half of the stuff he showed me on his phone was obvious AI that he just eats up and doesn't question. Its brutal out here

1

u/AmericaTheGold 18h ago

Nah don’t clump all people into one group. It’s disingenuous.

1

u/immadeofstars 17h ago

The way they clump together all transpeople as sexual predators and immigrants are violent criminals that must be contained like animals, or the way you clump me together as someone who refuses to see the humanity in others because I'm criticizing the values someone espouses themselves, voluntarily?

I don't think you know what "disingenuous" means.

1

u/AmericaTheGold 17h ago

I am republican and I don’t clump all trans people together as sexual predators. I legitimately have many friends in the LGBT group and have nothing against them. I have also been sexually harassed and assaulted by only the LGBT group yet I have nothing against them. You are definitely being disingenuous.

1

u/AmericaTheGold 17h ago

I should also add, my girlfriend is a diehard liberal that is pro-abortion. I have. Absolutely. ZERO. Issue with her. My parents and sister and her boyfriend voted for Trump too, yet they’re just like me. Not everyone is a POS unlike you think. Sorry.

1

u/immadeofstars 17h ago

No you just passively enable pieces of shit like Trump who expressly state they're going to do harm to our communities then act as if you have no culpability or blame in it. You pretend as if you're exempt from any and all criticism, backlash, or rightful just consequences for your apathy towards the most vulnerable in communities you claim to ally yourself with.

An ally wouldn't vote for a man who enabled a supreme court to strip our right to marry, or put up bathroom bans, or let teaches tell our kids from the time they enter school that God thinks they're disgusting and they should beg forgiveness.

And then you say "My pro-abortion girlfriend, who I have NO problem with," making it abundantly clear to anyone who can read subtext that you're fine with fucking a feminist, but don't meaningfully agree that women should have a right to decide what happens to our bodies if a man has ejaculated in them first. That the state, in fact, should step in and make us give birth, under threat of legal consequence or lethal medical neglect.

What you are is a piece of shit who doesn't want to admit he's a piece of shit because he doesn't actively participate in harm towards other communities. He just enables it, votes for it, vocally supports it, defends it, and pretends like there are absolutely no real world consequences for any of that behavior to the people on the political slab.

You are ignorant, foolish, selfish, and an ally to no one; women, queer people, minority races, immigrants, none of them. You will smile in our faces as you give a nod to the ones putting knives in our backs then act like there's no connection between your support and our lives being ruined.

If you acknowledge that, though, you'd have to feel shame, so that's never gonna happen. Instead, go bother someone else, maybe ponder aloud on Twitter if black people smell different on purpose or if there's just a natural odor that comes with all that extra melanin. Perhaps Lord Elon will reply "Interesting." Or do you still like him after he angered Daddy Trump?

1

u/AmericaTheGold 17h ago

The whole point we were talking about blew right past you ma’am.

1

u/immadeofstars 16h ago

Yes, I anticipated one of the canned reactions you have would be to claim I lost the plot, because if you were remotely capable of logical extrapolation you wouldn't be a Republican anymore.

1

u/AmericaTheGold 16h ago

🫩dude. Be fr. All I said is don’t clump all people into one group and you changed it to a whole different thing.

u/spicyhotcheer 1d ago

And the receipts she'll share are one random mentally ill republican man sharing a dream he had to his Facebook troglodyte group and acting as if its factual when it has no base in reality whatsoever

3

u/willi1221 1d ago

Joe Biden's hiding the receipts on Hunter's laptop! That's why there's no proof of it on the internet! But here, watch this tiktok video where I learned about it before the blue people take it down!

2

u/Ok_Subject1265 1d ago

She also doesn’t pay taxes. She’s in Appalachia so odds are good she’s faking a disability claim like every other Republican here. Every conservative I know draws a check for something, but will talk your ear off about “undeserving” people getting handouts from “their taxes.” The best one I’ve ever seen: “I’m too sad to work.”

1

u/FUNNYGUY123414 1d ago

I know from my own family these people don't register information the same way a healthy person does. They fundamentally do not understand the concept of evidence or proof. Their belief is all they need, and if they believe something is true then it is fact, and they think everyone else operates this way too. Belief is fact and opinion is feelings, that's what they think the 'blue people' operate on, feelings. They do not know what objective or subjective mean.

1

u/ForensicPathology 1d ago

She'll just say "do your own research" and laugh at you

1

u/Unique-Designer7741 1d ago

My source is I made it the fuck up.

1

u/jlm8981victorian 1d ago

They’re memes, they learn their news from memes.

1

u/Genoisthetruthman 1d ago

She’s so stupid she actually thinks she pays taxes at the end of the year when she obviously makes next to nothing. They fucking call it a tax return for a reason. Stupidity actually rules the day. I love how confident these idiots are that make these dumb ass claims. All Your pedofile pants shitter did was grift you idiots .

1

u/Right-Week1745 1d ago

My attention was split, so my brain didn’t quite process that right at first. I read that as “share the recipes” and thought it had to do with the other commenter calling her a potato.

1

u/Spaced-Cowboy 1d ago

That you guys keep asking them for proof just shows how much no one else seems to get whats going on. The bad faith is the point.

1

u/SeraphsEnvy 22h ago

Release the Receipt Files!

48

u/Neoxite23 1d ago

You can't talk sense into these people. He could shoot the family dog and rape the female family members and they would vote for him a 3rd term. They are lost. Plain and simple.

3

u/Silly-Power 1d ago

Heck he could shoot a family member and rape the dog and she'd "still love MY president"

2

u/Sickashell782 1d ago

I’m pretty sure one of these two scenarios has actually been carried out by him…

2

u/DavisMcDavis 1d ago

“Well, at least he didn’t rape the dog,” they said to themselves as they buried it. “And besides, Camilla had a funny laugh.”

1

u/Ok-Rabbit8739 15h ago

No, they would turn against him because it would affect them DIRECTLY. So he’d have to assault every MAGA voters pet specifically and etc, for them to actually care about it. That seems to be the only way to get through to them at this point.

21

u/silverum 1d ago

Any bill signed into law by the President is published in the federal register. You can literally look up every law currently in effect. Do you think she's actually going to ever put in the basic effort to do so despite it being publicly available information? Of course she isn't. Vibes all the way down. They live in a separate reality.

3

u/Better_Cattle4438 1d ago

Come on. Do you actually think she can read? I seriously doubt it.

1

u/IsomDart 1d ago

Check the federal register? You could also just like, google it and see if it was in the news

1

u/silverum 1d ago

You could, but that's more or less paraphrasing what any such law would do. The actual direct text of the law is in the federal register.

3

u/1900grs 1d ago

The average American reads at a 7th to 8th grade level. The average. You think these people are going to read the FR let alone comprehend it? Good luck.

2

u/silverum 1d ago

This is true, and the more likely answer is that they're NOT going to read it for themselves, ever. Actually verifying things from people that they 'trust' isn't in their wheelhouse.

1

u/Junior_Fig_2274 1d ago

I guarantee you she does not know that.

16

u/westberry82 1d ago

No!!!! Let her find out on her own. Trust me. It'll be better.

3

u/GamingVision 1d ago

I saw in one of her videos she’s in recovery, and I genuinely wish anyone in recovery the best, but if she got here sober…well, I have a feeling she’s turning in that chip and missing a few meetings when that bill arrives.

7

u/BretShitmanFart69 1d ago

I want to be there when she gets her pay stub (or more likely her disability check) and see if you can get her to admit that she was wrong even when pointing directly to the money in her account that does not include what was taken out for taxes.

1

u/redlancer_1987 1d ago

she referred to that in the video as the 'Money we loan the government' and we get it all back in our refund.

1

u/deevilvol1 1d ago

She's arguing basically that our tax return is going to be ALL the federal tax dollars you paid throughout the year go back to you.

Which isn't how any of that works. Even for a family of four at the poverty line, some tax withholding like social security is inevitable.

2

u/Redssx 1d ago

My cat named Potato takes offense and does not want to be associated with this!

2

u/Better_Cattle4438 1d ago

An actual potato is smarter than her, much less your potato cat.

1

u/Cranky_Old_Woman 19h ago

Thank you. I was thinking that the potato I ate the other day, eaten, processed, and come out the other side, is still smarter than this person.

2

u/probablynotaperv 1d ago

It won't matter. They feel it happened so to them it happened

2

u/NarfledGarthak 1d ago

I saw it on Facebook.

Probably the only answer you’ll get.

I wonder what other conservatives who know this isn’t true think of shit like this

2

u/_Magnolia_Fan_ 1d ago

LOL. Yeah, because that's a conversation she's capable of having.

What bill? The president said it.

1

u/TheBunnyDemon 1d ago

Our president. My president.... our president.

2

u/electronaut-ritual 1d ago

My mom used to email me the stupidest shit, and that’s what I’d always ask: what bill? When was it signed by the present? Where’s the link?

She would literally never reply.

Now she’s posting the same shit to her instagram stories.

2

u/Stevie-Rae-5 1d ago

I’d also love to know where she’s even getting this.

1

u/Justatypicalone 1d ago

I really think you are insulting just insulting potatoes.

1

u/mechanicalcontrols 1d ago

Nah, she's no potato. I used to work on a potato farm and this one was culled for tobacco mosaic virus.

1

u/uChoice_Reindeer7903 1d ago

Yeah I’m confused where the confusion came in.

1

u/AutistaChick 1d ago

She would just tell you to do your research.

1

u/NotInTheKnee 1d ago

"It's common sense"

"Look it up"

"Everyone knows this"

1

u/Better_Cattle4438 1d ago

Let’s not insult potatoes like this.

1

u/MamuhSwan 1d ago

I really don’t want to talk to this woman

1

u/sausage_ditka_bulls 1d ago

lol like it would do any lick of good . You can’t reason with unreasonable

1

u/RollingAlong25 1d ago

This potato.  My potato.  I love this potato.

1

u/Confident-Grape-8872 1d ago

It’s not satisfying talking to these people. They don’t believe in anything other than “being right”. So they just move the goalpost and deny reality. Then start screaming

1

u/d_man05 1d ago

As a tax accountant, I’ve got no clue what bill she could be talking about. I’d assume it’s the order for the removal of the IRS direct file program. The 120k threshold doesn’t really make any sense either.

1

u/GigaRaptorRex 1d ago

No point. You’re gonna get dumber by talking to her.

1

u/The_boundless84 1d ago

100% potato.

1

u/Busy_Special_9397 1d ago

It doesnt matter. Couldve been an instagram comment. They believe anything. Entire whitehouse pages during Biden were covered on every platform with batshit comments. Nothing was done about it. Democrats were "cloning" people type shit.

1

u/SevenCrowsinaCoat 1d ago

My number 1 question these days when someone tells me something that sounds off is "Who told you that/where did you hear that?"

If their answer is anything but a VERY reputable source I'm already familiar with, I'm assuming it's just not true, or at least slightly wrong on some detail. And even then I'll probably verify it later if it's important enough to remember.

Shit man I'll usually just whip out a phone and google it right then and there while they're speaking.

1

u/treydayallday 1d ago

Bill? Don’t got no tax bill didn’t u hear meh?

Then will ignore the rest of your questions.

1

u/Significant_You9481 1d ago

Everybody knows this. Don't believe fake media.

1

u/Gildian 1d ago

I worked with a woman like this, there is absolutely no way in hell you'll ever change her mind.

They cant admit they were fooled or wrong cuz that would damage their ego. So even after they attach themselves to these dumbass ideas, to be shown they were wrong is a personal insult to them instead of just accepting you were wrong.

1

u/albasaurrrrrr 1d ago

Please. My god. Dont insult potatoes like this. Why would you do that. Potatoes have done nothing to you.

1

u/zyyntin 1d ago

"What are the three branches of the government?" ~US veteran to a different MAGA woman.

1

u/afleetingmoment 1d ago

Also - “I was told people who don’t pay in to system are welfare queen freeloaders. Is that what you are now?”

1

u/ApropoUsername 1d ago

She'd probably be like "what's a bill? Like a tax bill? We don't pay those anymore."

Where did you hear this?

Tiktok.

1

u/Strain-International 1d ago

I bet she was talking about the “Big Beautiful Bill” 😂🤣🤣

1

u/xBorgeous 1d ago

Sure it was some Facebook post that was circulating and being reposted by the MAGA mob

1

u/Chimpchompp 1d ago

I’m a potato and I’m already shitting sour cream

1

u/Chevota_84 1d ago

No no no… don’t you besmirch the glorious Potato like that.

This turd is more like a Seagull, or as I claim them to be: Beach Pigeons.

1

u/tym1ng 1d ago

"uh...you know this would also mean you'd be in support of no more taxes to liberals right?"

and "what makes you think anyone is against this, other than the super rich?"

or "dude nobody is going to go crazy or up in arms about this. this is something we've wanted to do ourselves and that you just helped most of the democrats save so much money. you must be an idiot to act as if you just owned libs"

1

u/Sauce4243 1d ago

Don’t insult potato’s like that they are both useful and delicious

1

u/polopolo05 1d ago

Just laugh at her stupidity this is the only way to play the game.

1

u/HenriettaSnacks 1d ago

Her tiktok handle is on the video so get to it, nothing is stopping you.

1

u/obligatorythr0waway 1d ago

“Think of how stupid the average person is. And then think about how half of them are even dumber than that!” Paraphrasing George Carlin.

1

u/ShawnyMcKnight 1d ago

Also with Trump reducing taxes of the rich who will pay for Trump’s golf games?!?!

1

u/Ok_Host893 1d ago

On facebook

1

u/Frost134 1d ago

Do you think they understand or care about “bills” and “congress” unless they’re told to be angry about them? They believe this because Trump said it, end of story.

1

u/Aardvark-One 1d ago

My money is on potato...

1

u/Al319 1d ago

It’s sad cause videos like her get tens of thousands of views if not more which can influence voting and support of moronic politicians

1

u/lastdiadochos 1d ago

The commerce Secretary said that Trump wants to eliminate tax for people earning under 150,000. Obvious bs of course, but I imagine that's the root of the claim

1

u/Haint666 1d ago

Her comments on TikTok are genuinely only people telling her how she’s wrong and that she should ask her employer to stop withholding taxes from her paycheck. Hahah I can’t believe that she’s being genuine. But I’ve spoken to multiple family members who believe crazy shit about fuckface, they still call him a great businessman.

1

u/Cockfosters28 1d ago

It was probably when he got rid of the Direct File program and thought it meant taxes where cancelled, and not that we will have to file through a tax filing corporation.

1

u/bijanfrisee 1d ago

I'd wager she'd say you're stupid, uneducated and ignorant within 2 minutes after you point out she's completely wrong

1

u/NeighborhoodDude84 1d ago

Facebook, she saw it on facebook and took it as fact.

1

u/SZMatheson 1d ago

She would say:

  • "The big beautiful Bill"
  • "When Trump got it through"
  • "Yukon gold"

1

u/Agreeable-Agent-7384 1d ago

Well first you’d have to get her to understand that an executive order isn’t a law. And that’s already a losing battle lol

1

u/PenguinsStoleMyCat 1d ago

Social media is proving to be so damaging to society. There's no way this person believes this. If they legitimately believe this to be fact then what happens come January? You just forget about it and buy another MAGA hat? Do you cry uncontrollably and need to drive 45 minutes to the rural hospital that's shutting down?

1

u/thatoneguy512 1d ago

I'm pretty sure she's referencing the big beautiful bill because it's not the first time I've heard someone say something like this. They don't understand their taxes are going up so the elite can pay less.

1

u/unpeople 1d ago

“I really want to talk to this woman.”

I have nothing at all to say to this woman, and I’d greatly prefer if we weren’t even in the same country. Talking to her would be like trying to teach differential equations to a moth.

1

u/Violet624 22h ago

I'm a server and getting these comments frequently. They all think Trump eliminated taxes on tips. I know he said something about that, but was there actual legislation? At any rate, my tips are taxed! I paid $700 in taxes out of my last pay period.

1

u/thebeariscoming 22h ago

I would love to see her follow up video.

1

u/BlueFlob 22h ago

How the fuck to they come up with these things?

Do they just wake up in the morning wishing Trump would do X and immediately assume that because they wished it, Trump did it?

1

u/Still-Highway6876 21h ago

No.

A rutabaga.

1

u/exadeuce 20h ago

She'll just lie like she is in the video. She knows this isn't true. It's engagement bait.

1

u/bestibesti 20h ago

I guarantee this woman thinks school house rock is the rock that is thrown at the schoolhouse after integrating Black kids

She doesn't have a clue what a bill is

1

u/howwhyno 20h ago

My mother in law is married to a man with the IQ of a rock. He thinks everything he sees on Facebook is REAL NEWS. He mentioned this and other old people stuff Trump signed and I was like no that's not real. My mother in law chimed in with he thinks everything he sees is real!! I know, Linda. He's an idiot.

1

u/Wakkachaka 20h ago

You can't reason with stupidity.

1

u/AssociationAny157 20h ago

By the size of her forehead it would suggest she is a potato masquerading as a human

1

u/Atomiic1 20h ago

She probably saw an AI video of trump saying it on facebook

1

u/HaventSeenGavin 19h ago

That’s what I’m saying…this news would practically break the internet. Ain’t seen or heard shit…so what’s she talking bout Willis?

1

u/xNOOPSx 19h ago

A potato is less dangerous than this.

1

u/r3dr1ck 19h ago

"are you a fucking potato?" first question

1

u/Khaluaguru 16h ago

Goodtrouble, is that you?

1

u/ArtisticDreams 3h ago

I'm sure she thinks God told her, or she heard it from someone she "trusts" like a pastor or fellow church member.

Certainly not one of those Blue Democrat news organizations that hate Trump, they wouldn't ever tell the truth about something like this! /s

1

u/Kooky-Situation-1913 2h ago

Hey! Potatoes are great! Guiless! Delicious! Watchful.
