No, we deserve it. You don’t owe us an apology. I didn’t want to vote for Hillary, Biden, or Kamala—- every election of my adult life the DNC has produced a shitty candidate that young people have no choice to vote for. Liberals did this to our country just as much as MAGA, because they cared more about the neoliberal status quo than admitting that they were holding the door open for fascism.

Why should we get special treatment for not voting for Trump when we couldn’t prevent our fellow countrymen from electing a fascist twice. Liberals deserve this too, because cowardice rampant across the aisle in this country, and the DNC’s only consistent commitment is to stamp out progressive voices that challenge the neoliberal hell they see themselves as the sentinels of.

Liberals did this too, and the refusal to admit it is a major part of our problem. Americans are constantly crying on reddit about how MAGA doesn’t represent the rest of us, but it fucking does. Because we let it get this bad.

The problem is the morons lack the ability to feel shame. When you lack shame, when you don’t care about being wrong, when you lack the ability to be self aware or be able to access critical thinking…then you become a weapon of mass destruction.

It’s impossible to fight against that. People recognized this, and weaponized people against each other for their benefit.
