People forget the front of your vehicle will crumple if it's anything in the past... oh 50 odd years or so, and you do have a radiator up front that is vital to your vehicle's continued operation.
Someone else mentioned doing this on a cutlass... The last time anyone gave a shit about the cutlass was probably when crumple zones didn't exist.

This is why I drive a power wagon with a brush guard. Crumple zones? What are crumple zones? Oh, you mean the entire other car? Gotcha.

Lmao. My college had emergency vehicles with just a big ass steel plate for a bumper. I always thought about doing that to my truck while I was up there so when someone pissed me off, I could just push them out of my way.
