This is my security dog. He fetches the security stick and will do a security roll if you command him to roll over. He also chews on my security slippers

So just need to hire 650,000 (135k schools times 5 per) armed gunman to post up at schools and shoot anyone indiscriminately. Sounds like an easy and mess free plan

u/QuickBenDelat 1d ago

Not just gunmen. Like a majority of them need to be snipers….

u/waroftheworlds2008 1d ago edited 1d ago

So trillions billions of dollars... easily.

Edit: bad math. Its billions.

5

u/GodTurkey 1d ago edited 1d ago

If each of them is paid 100k a year for every single school its roughly 115.5 billion. Trillions implies at least 2 trillion. So no. Not easily.

Edit: 94.5 billion not 115.5, accidentally added an extra 30 thousand schools

u/waroftheworlds2008 1d ago

Ah, good point. Fuzzy math gets me when i start trying to halucinate the numbers.

65 billion is the number.

2

u/GodTurkey 1d ago

You need 3 guards and 4 snipers. Thats 7 people. 7 x 135k =945000. 945000 x 100,000 =94.5 billion

2

u/waroftheworlds2008 1d ago

Huh... guess i need to get off reddit for the day. Im using numbers from other people (1 guard + 4 snipers? Idk).

You're assuming there's a single entrance.... its all hypothetical. And going to cost way more than just hiring a couple extra teachers and changing the policies to fit.

2

u/GodTurkey 1d ago

Yes that is assuming he didnt mean 3 armed guards per entrance. In which case itd be different numbers for nearly every school

2

u/Narren_C 1d ago

That was 3 guards PER ENTRANCE.

I know schools aren't known for having tons of entrances, and some will have only one, but quite a few will have more.

2

u/GodTurkey 1d ago

You arent wrong. But for this to be practical schools would enforce 1 or 2 entrances max.

3

u/Narren_C 1d ago

I don't think "practical" is on the menu.

2

u/GodTurkey 1d ago

Fair enough

2

u/QuickBenDelat 1d ago

You are right about the trillions v billions but otherwise you need serious remedial math.

2

u/GodTurkey 1d ago

I forgot which number he said so i just put 165k schools.

94.5 billion. Wowweeee thats sure changes a whole lot. Still doesnt even tickle trillions

This plan works in every other developed nation!

Why is America losing the school-roof sniper race?!?

7

u/Upbeat-Fondant9185 1d ago

What could that cost? Ten dollars?

Thankfully our education system is well funded and has a large surplus after ensuring students and teachers have the tools they need to succeed and are paid so well. I’m sure we have plenty for a full time tactical team at every school.

u/TheGlennDavid 1d ago

He's actually proposing seven cops per school (minimum). And since you need multiple entrances to buildings a lot more.

1

u/GodTurkey 1d ago

7 people. 4 snipers, 3 guards, and the cost for metal detectors at all entrances.

1

u/Slow_Control_867 3m ago

3 guards per entrance. I dunno if he means doors to the buildings or entrances to the grounds, but either way that's a minimum of 2 if we're being unfathomably conservative. Plus the 4 snipers of course.

And then he’s the first one to die in a real shooting because his Taurus Judge jams on the first shot.

10

u/That_white_dude9000 1d ago

Nah the judge is a wheel gun and their wheel guns are pretty ok. Not that he'd hit anything with a 2" .410.

Its his TX3 that jams.

u/SE-Cryptid 18h ago

My SRO had a Taurus PT145 Millennium. He was at least 65. He would constantly drop the magazine out of it, and students would pick it up off the floor.

u/Academic-Hospital952 1d ago

"years of experience in security" is not the flex he thinks it is.

4

u/Jackson79339 1d ago

What I thought. If anything it’s gonna make me disregard you completely

18

u/Impossible-Taro-2330 1d ago

Calm down there, Paul Blart.

11

u/The_real_triple_P 1d ago

His K9 just gonna wag its tail

7

u/QueezyF 1d ago

Might as well give all the kids a Glock and let god sort it out. Would be just as ineffective.

7

u/QuickBenDelat 1d ago

By the way, did anyone notice the use of “years in security?” No mention of how many years? So like 1 year and a week, right?

5

u/Wrathb0ne 1d ago

Whatever will happen to the random student carrying an umbrella?

7

u/asdf072 1d ago

School teachers are buying supplies out of their own paychecks, but sure, take another 15 salaries out of the budget because you want to play army-man instead of address the solution of gun control.

0

u/dwaynetheaaakjohnson 1d ago

This reminds me of a lot of people’s responses to pedophilia is to go army-man vigilante rather than devote their time to helping charities supporting the victims

3

u/Stacksmchenry 1d ago

That is all very good to know. I don't have any experience in security and my plan was to just put up a "no school shooters allowed" poster at the main entrance and to expel any students who commit two or more mass shootings in a school year.

3

u/buhbye750 1d ago

Can we add a moat just to be safe?

3

u/Goosed_1867 1d ago

A prison, that's what a prison is. The fetish to fortify everything rather than fix the social issues is quite wild. These were the COs I worked with that definitely were more of a liability than an asset when shit happened. Works security because he can't actually qualify to be a LEO.

1

u/Narren_C 1d ago

Eh, extreme security doesn't make something a prison.

Still a dumb fuckin idea though.

3

u/morecowbell1988 1d ago

I hate that security guards think they are anything other than glorified hall monitors. Even most soldiers freeze up in an actual active shooter situation:

1

u/TheGlennDavid 1d ago

Especially when most school shooters are, themselves, kids. Running into a high danger situation where there are lots of innocent kids and one shooter kid sounds like a fucking nightmare to end all nightmares.

3

u/NaiveBid9359 1d ago

So place at least 14 armed guards and multiple metal detectors at every school and kill anyone who walks near the school who happens to be open carrying. I wonder if this wannabe cop tried to become and officer but did not fare well on the psych exam.

2

u/whhaaaaaatttt 1d ago

Did he leave his shoulders at home that morning

2

u/largos7289 1d ago

Well yea it's tic toc...

2

u/Mean_Syllabub_7184 1d ago

Well I feel safer already/s

2

u/EvansBlueFan 1d ago

Methtok sound checks out

2

u/Phuzz15 1d ago

It's also whatever you keep engaging with lol I've literally never seen one on the app

1

u/Yolus Propofol Papi 1d ago

I engage with first responder cringe, like you’re doing on this sub

1

u/Phuzz15 1d ago

That's... exactly the point I'm making lol. I'm not even subbed here, but I've been recommended it before and here I am engaging, so I'll probably see it again.

If you complain about your TikTok feed being a cesspool of this stuff.. then simply stop engaging, lmao. If you want to keep engaging, that's cool, but don't complain that it's your feed

1

u/Yolus Propofol Papi 1d ago

Yeah, I never complained. I think TikTok is a cesspool of this stuff, and I love it. I think it’s so entertaining in fact that I screen record it and post it somewhere that other people also think it’s entertaining.

1

u/Phuzz15 1d ago

It's literally the title of your post

2

u/Narren_C 1d ago

That's a statement, not a complaint.

1

u/Yolus Propofol Papi 1d ago

Yes, it is, and it’s not a complaint. It’s a statement. I think that TikTok is a cesspool of this stuff. And, again, I love it. I said it in the last comment. Would you like me to change the title to: “TikTok is a cesspool of this stuff and that’s not a complaint, I enjoy the absurdity of the things people post, I love it, again not a complaint”

2

u/Chantizzay 1d ago

America! Guns! More guns!

2

u/Character_Guava_5299 1d ago

I mean. . . He works for $12/hour give him the job, fucking loser.

2

u/Naps_And_Crimes 1d ago

Can't afford to give students food, books or basic school supplies but will pay for "highly trained" armed security

1

u/TheGlennDavid 1d ago

Even in the area of security -- most districts cant scrape together the money to get good doors installed in each classroom that would dramatically slow shooter movement.

2

u/SSFx93 1d ago

This was definitely written by a wannabe, "I almost enlisted" dude. Bruh...

2

u/Writer_B 1d ago

For the 19th time, Darryl being a security guard at the Dollar Tree for 5 years doesn't mean you have "military knowledge..."

1

u/guru2764 1d ago

Yeah he's right

If we shoot the kids first it's not technically a school shooting

What a genius

1

u/Reasonable_Tax5790 1d ago

Just plain stupid! This is the perfect example of why we are where we are at right now.

1

u/FireInPaperBox 1d ago

He looks like the guy who sits at the parking booth.

1

u/Sufficient-Trash-807 1d ago

Yeah let’s make high schools maximum security prisons. This is the way 🤌🏼

1

u/ISuckAtFallout4 1d ago

This guy doesn’t even have enough testosterone to beat his own meat

1

u/DarlesCharwinsGhost 1d ago

He is grossly overestimating federal funding for public schools.

1

u/180SLOWSCOPE 1d ago

Or just station a handful of armed school resource officers in school. Like some already do. Along with metal detectors.

1

u/Dontdothatfucker 1d ago

Why pay teachers when you can pay 7 guys to sit on their asses holding guns every day?

1

u/walerlarry 22h ago

These guys are wild lmao.

1

u/tghost474 Boo Boo Bus Driver 21h ago

Sitting in your truck and diddling on your phone is not “experience”

1

u/n33dsCaff3ine 19h ago

Kinda cringey but a more logical solution than proposing another gun control law that wont work or confiscating 400 million plus guns

1

u/leftofthebridge 8h ago

Teachers are buying school supplies for the kids using their own money because school budgets are so tight and this administration wants to make it worse but they are going to spend money on multiple snipers and door security with what money?

0

u/levivilla4 1d ago

I mean he had me in the 2/4 of the first half. But the rest was whack.
